I got my Henry H001 a few weeks ago and I am really impressed. Much better than I thought it would be. I'm not a big fan of newer guns but these Henrys are great rifles.

Funny you mention good ol Barska. Here is my story. I bought a 6.4lb Mossberg Patriot synthetic in,pause, 375 Ruger. I put my Barska variable atop this beast; approximately 51 lbs recoil . I figured hell, if it works Great! if not, well I will break it and toss it. Illuminated inner reticle no less. 40 rounds later of mixed superformance, 300 dangerous game, and reduced 375 winchester ballistics loads, still there!

Nice trigger discipline! You let off when you weren’t quite sure.

I should mention, I have Leupolds plural, Zeiss, Nikons etc , but yet I used the barska on the 375 Ruger. You are not the only one that is "do whuttt"

Many years ago, we lived next to the rear of the property of a petroleum transfer station on the river. My brother worked there. I was off work recuperating from some minor surgery. One of the employees of the company had planted a good-sized garden that we could see from our house. My brother came to me and asked if I could keep a check on the garden because a groundhog was wiping it out. Sure enough, a couple of days later, it came out for a garden lunch. I had (and still have) a Winchester Model 69A bolt action .22lr that an Uncle gave me. The problem was solved, and the man got to harvest his garden.
