Lee always sounds like he's given up and is just being silly, even when he's telling the truth. That is his superpower 🦸‍♂️😂 and the way the show works after over a decade. David always sounds earnest and Lee always sounds like he's taking the mick, like the other comment says, the show is all about the bluff.

I remember hearing a rumor that Baby Spice was caught running naked in a hotel, but figured it was some made up story. But when she said it on the show it was kinda weird actually knowing what she was talking about. Im also american and this was like 20+ years and I dont really listen to her music, which makes it even weirder that I knew the story lol.

Some of them really know how to game it and others are absolutely horrible at lying. Look at Bob, he treats his true stories and his lies in exactly the same way and it makes them near impossible to tell apart.

I used a similar method for years to wake up as Chris. Not banging my head but telling myself when I should wake. I hated the jarring effect of a clock. It always worked, though I set the alarm for about 15 min later just in case. I never had to be woken by the alarm.

Lee isn't good enough at math to work out how long it would take for a box of earl grey to be used up. He's assuming David only puts one earl grey per box of regular tea... Meaning he's going through 80 cups before placing another. No one would do that... if the earl grey came up you'd put another in, it's not taking 3 years even if he didn't have guests over to use up the box of earl grey, He's likely to have 2-3 earl grey's per box of regular tea.

What is happening‽‽‽ How in the name of all the gods have so many people been so confused by David's silly maths/not realised he was taking the piss because he's fully are of the fact that most people aren't smart enough to call him on it; and the people who are smart enough got the joke. Fractions refer to parts of a whole, not parts of a fraction. We learned fractions with cake at school, I hope this is easier for people; the cake is cut into 3 pieces, the hangglider ate 2 of the pieces, he does not have half the cake left.
