I am starting a new series in which I am filming every single day as part of the 30 bags in 30 days challenge. The goal is to declutter my home and fill up one bag with junk each and every day during the month of April. Join the challenge!

I’ve done 12 bags in 2 days 😳 I used to be a bit of a hoarder, probably because I grew up in poverty and psychologically felt I needed to keep everything of value. Now we are a little more comfortable and can replace with better things it’s been so liberating to just get rid of it all. I plan on spending the next two days doing further decluttering as it’s really helping with my mental health.

Just an FYI instead of keeping all those manuals that are a pain to store and find when you need them, just go to the website and download a copy and keep it on your computer or a flash drive. Also, even if you toss without downloading you can almost always find out how to fix or maintain your specific item on youtube or through google search!! Letting go of those silly manuals makes soooo much space!! Also, warranty info can usually be filled out online so you don't need the papers for that in most cases either :) Love this 30 bags in 30 days! I think I am going to try this!!

Hi Sophia! I think I have watched EVERY SINGLE VIDEO that you have done. I love watching them, and getting motivated! You have taught me a lot. I appreciate that you do everything on your own because I am a single mom, and don't have the choice of having someone help me. If I don't do it myself, it doesn't get done :/ I'm also a home owner, and as you know, that means there is ALWAYS something that needs to be done around the house. I would love for you do more DIY videos for homeowners, if you have the time. I know you are super busy. So far you have motivated me to paint my sons' bedroom, change out the toilet seat in my bathroom, assemble purchased shelving in the extra bedroom to organize the overflow stuff(we don't have a garage or basement, so this has Christmas décor, paint, stuff I'm saving to put in a garage sale), putting up curtain rods and curtains in the living room, curtains on the kitchen door that I had to cut and use stich witchery to make it the length I wanted. I always say to myself "If Sophia can do it, then so can I" :) I do wish I could do some of the wood working projects you've done, but I don't have any of the tools, it looks like it would be super fun to try! I just wanted to leave a comment today, because you had negative feedback on tossing stuff out. I say its your stuff, do what is best for your family. I will say though, I always have a garage sale a couple times a year, and you would be SUPRISED what junk people will buy. Stuff I thought will NEVER sale, but I put it out anyway, sold! However, I do know we have a lot of diyers in my area and crafters, so perhaps they have a higher purpose for the junk. Anywho, keep the videos coming, I always look forward to them!!! Happy be-lated birthday to Scott, he doesn't look his age :D

Love this idea. I'm not sure I have 30 days worth of clutter/junk but I'll give it a try. I think you should gather all your pens and pencils (remember all you had when you did your office?) and donate them to the boys school. Then tell yourself you're not going to buy anymore or keep any more advertising pens. Last but not least, 49 birthday wishes to Scott.

Hello Scot, Happy Birthday. You looking good... Sophia , I made a three ring binder with plastic sleeves for the outside equipment manuals It makes it easy to find them when yard work starts. I labeled it so it was quick to grab. Thirty bags in thirty days, great idea.

! I was having a hard time throwing things out that have just been sitting more than a year. My hubs said "don't be scared to donate or throw out things" . After us cleaning out areas of my home and garage it felt nice! Everything was clean and organized : ) 30 bags here we go!

Someone said to down load manuals ,good idea,but my husband is a hands-on type of guy. He would have a fit to have to go to a computer for advice when working on say a chain saw or something messy in the garage. He's old school but I love him any way.hehe
