I tend to hoard school/office supplies too. I created a bin of school supplies so that I could shop my stash first when school starts. It has been VERY helpful.

I watch your videos every morning and it makes me more productive! Today I finally threw the old old OLD alcohol bottles away, that I didn't use up for at least 4 years!! I moved with them. Twice. Never threw them out, because "alcohol never gets bad", "it's worth so much money" and "I will have a cocktail party and then I'll need it." YEAH RIGHT. Haven't had said party in 4 years, don't care about a party, don't want random expired alcohol and syrup in my house. Threw them out. And now I have an empty shelf that I could put baking stuff in or let it stay empty... Greetings from Germany, Sophia, you are doing so good!

love this, reaching deep. wanted to share a tip, i take those (8x10) plastic envelops with the fold over tops with the button or Velcro every time we take a trip, or even a days outing. i put our tickets, reservation confirmations, new brochures mementos matches or tavern coasters. we don't have to go nuts looking for anything.. when we get home i have a package for scrapbooking.

As your office is a relatively new venture and pretty tidy, I think you have demonstrated very well how we all need to go round and declutter every few months or so to prevent the mega clutter monster taking over. What we do with our stuff... As a younger woman, I would clear away some stuff each year and rearrange what was left, but still there would be too much stuff. As a younger woman, I thought I had all the time in the world to methodically refine my stuff and make my household more efficient and elegant. As a middle-aged woman, I began to pay for working way too hard in my youth. Despite my efforts, I lost more vitality with each passing year. My long-term plans to deal with my stuff were never realized. Instead, I had to deal with new stuff -- and dealing with the new stuff required more energy than I had left. As an old woman, I regret nothing more than the fact that I will leave so much stuff to be dealt with by my loved ones.

I donated about 90% of my clothes today. Mostly cold weather things I have been hanging onto and never wearing. I now live in Florida and I need maybe one cold weather outfit for the two or three cold days here. I should have given them away before moving down here three years ago. I now have half a closet, three dresser drawers and a big plastic bin EMPTY! I couldn't put away the clothes I wear because all the room was taken up by clothes I never wear. My husband took it all away to Habitat for Humanity this morning. I am so happy and pleased with myself. YAY!!!

You could do a disclaimer at the end or beginning of the video like "I'm going to go through this pile and decided what to donate, trash, recycle" so that you don't have to explain what you are doing with each item. I know people get crazy over recycling. You shouldn't have to explain yourself. :) Great video!
