very cool. I took a beginner Greek class over 30 years ago but did nothing with it. I could actually understand some of what you said without using the subtitles!

Nice, do you use modern greek pronunciation? I'm very interested in that, since my plan is to pick up modern greek after my Graecum exams in summer. I'm doing the book drill, you suggested in your ancient greek fluency video. After a week of Marc 1, Marc 2 basically read itself. Good stuff! Keep it up! :)

Yes I am using modern Greek pronunciation. It really helps in speaking and reading. Much quicker and more fluid. Thanks!

Stephen Hackett, Biblical Studies and Reviews record a video answering different questions in a language you are learning every day.

Dane K. Jöhannsson nice! So are you using koine dialect for your answers? My ears aren’t trained to understand spoken Greek yet.

Stephen Hackett, Biblical Studies and Reviews using modern Greek pronunciation but Koine vocab!

Stephen Hackett, Biblical Studies and Reviews yeah that's what's helpful about it. You don't actually know a language until you can speak it and hear it with comprehension. Every time I think I've made progress in Greek or Latin I just try to speak it or listen to a conversation and realize how little I know lol. It's humbling!

Dane K. Jöhannsson, I like it! I heard James White [not a huge fan of his] say that the Puritans learned Greek well enough to debate in Greek. Wow!
