I admit that I was a little judgy when I saw you count individual small pieces as individual items but then I checked myself. It is all clutter no matter how small if it has no purpose and is not getting used. This convinced me to count even small steps as progress. Good for you and congrats on completing the challenge.

I notice how you take them out of the house immediately. I wouldn’t run out for 3 things, but it works! I should try that, bc I wait til the box is full, and it seems like it goes from full to a mess in the front hall! Fantastic tenacity and commitment!

I started a deep purge in 2015. Then I did it again in 2018. Finally in 2023/2024 I did the rest. Got rid of cabinets and shelves as well to prevent clutter coming in. I’m still not where I want to be, but slowly I am getting there. I have another 11 years, before I retire and want to go and travel fulltime, so I hope I will have donated everything I ‘m not using.

I have a printer that doesn't work. I think the ink dried up, from lack of use. Kept it, thinking I should get new ink cartridges. Never got round to it. I'll recycle it. Can borrow the use of one, if needed.

Late last year I took five carloads (suv filled to the roof) of donations to the Humane Society Thrift Store. I need to go look for more to unload; I'm loving the reality of less stuff and feeling like I added a bit to other people's lives if they need some of these things.
