30 Day Motorcycle Road Trip Series: (Ep 16) Campout in Monument Valley

The 16th episode of a 30 day motorcycle road trip series that takes us from Washington up through parts of Canada, east to Tennessee, down through Louisiana, and then back up through Utah and places in between. In this episode, we spend the day at Goulding's campsite in Monument Valley doing some chores, cooking, and exploring the beautiful rock formations.

Absolutely stunning spot. Free endow camp tip for on a motorcycle trip, or any trip where pack space is limited. For your knife option consider dual purpose and get yourself a very stout Bowie knife, like at least a 8 inch blade, you can then use that knife like an axe and “baton” your way through splitting your firewood. Or use the rock method that’s cool too.

I recently came across your videos. I’ve really been enjoying them. I did a similar motorcycle trip (starting in Ontario). I stayed at the same campground (Gouldings), I remember the sand being super hard and I bent a couple of tent pegs. I also went by Mexican Hat, Moab and the Bonneville Salt Flats. I haven’t gotten to those videos yet, but I remember seeing all the salt and my (Canadian) brain thinking how can there be all that “snow” when it’s so hot! Thanks for the trip down memory lane! Everyone should ride across the continent on a motorcycle, it really is the trip of a lifetime!
