I make a lot of bookmarks. Quick little projects. I use packaging (cracker boxes, tissue boxes, etc) cut to size. I put blank paper on the back for note-writing and collage the front.

Oh Brian, thanks for your kindness--I can't help but keep it real. Honestly, there's only so much I can edit out (long pauses!)--in some of my earlier videos I didn't edit as well and viewers thought I was having a stroke on camera!

I love making bookmarks. I make monoprinted greeting cards. the ones I;m not crazy about how the colors work together on the card, I paint on the opposite side then cut them to size for bookmarks. Then I sell em at the gallery I have my cards in. I don't charge much (25 cents each), but at least I'm not throwing it out & making enough to cover my costs on it. During Christmas, I call em gift tags & sell oodles

I love to hold a real book too Maria! I consider the library to be my best friend! But I must confess I have the kindle app on my iPad for when I travel--it's easier than lugging books along.

I agree with everyone else who has commented Helene--this is the BEST idea! I am going to start doing that as I am at my local library every week.
