Well done Brendan, I find the watch a superb way to track and encourage gains. Keep up the good work.

Haven’t finished the vid yet but you for sure need to switch to heart rate based training on the watch. Looks like a beautiful area to run!

I kind of agree. The recommended workout seemed to show a time and pace, I didn't see a setting to change it. It was based of my fitness as it did get faster the fitter I got. If I go for a run while not using the recommended workout it focuses on heart rate more. On flat ground pace is fine, but when you get some hills your pace drops off even though your workload increases, so heart rate would be better for that. Pace might be more useful for track, I didn't have a lot of elevation changes on my runs so it did work for me.

Here’s a text snippet from Google on how to change it: ‘In the screen for the suggested workout, choose the menu button (up right, or Start) and you will see the option Target Type in the list. There you set whether you want to follow Pace or Heart Rate.’

@@brendan_chiswellrun-suggested workouts-scroll down to settings and you can change your long run days and you csn change pace or heart rate.

Beem using for 8 months, having the race widget and hr-based. Feels like working and I'm getting fitter

Change your workout to hr based on hilly terrain instead of pace
