Winders have always been a what made a decent stair guy into rather decent . What is your game plan for hand rails on the inside? Also when you mentioned halls as wasted space does that mean you should try to put bathrooms at an end or corner? Happy holidays

I live in a home with narrow U shaped stairs with 7 winders. They are possible to go upstairs on tip toe, but going downstairs you have to do the twist to ensure your foot is supported on the tread. I am planning to remove the winders so I can walk downstairs safely.
