I love that you presented everything to your average Jim bob guy. You didn't church it up or over sophisticate it like other videos.

I don't use slings or waist bags too much but I have a few. The one I have packed to grab and go is the 5.11 LV6 sling. Feels good to wear but does not have the clips on the strap to easily switch it to a waist pack. So then I bought the Helikon Tex Bandicoot and the smaller Vanquest Dendrite. I have used the Dendrite and like it as a waist bag or a chest sling but the 5.11 still feels better as a back sling, due to the adjustment positioning of the straps and the the stabilizing strap that comes with it.

The Dayfarer Sling actually has a hidden zippered pocket infront of the main compartment. Have been using this sling for months now and it's my absolute favorite sling of all times.

The Trakke Kelso is awesome. I used it for a month before my other half stole it from me. The organisation inside is excellent in use, it carries just enough, is comfortable to carry and the materials... Trakke’s materials are just the best!

I, like most addicts, have one too many fanny/slings. But I always find myself going for the original Trakke (cause of your video of course) It is the perfect size for my needs. It has even been throughout Europe with me and it’s my weekend driver. I was thrilled I got it when I did because I think it’s leaps and bounds better than the new one.

I would love that Aer sling more than all others if it weren't for the super sticky front zipper. I know water resistance is good but . . . I wish they'd make one without that sealed zipper. It's a struggle.

Aer city sling would be good to stitch in with day sling 2. The city sling was a surprising winner for me, due to its great size for essentials and simple yet effective organization. The bellroy sling by comparison doesn't have "simple organization" so much as it has almost no organization, and the awkward slit opening makes pouches etc inconvenient as a BYO organization solution

More about the Trakke banana, please. They added pockets, yes? Do they work well (heard they had no stretch?)? Does the thin strap rub/bother your neck? Looking at the Trakke Bairn, too....(bless you for being my Xanax after standing in line for three hours to vote).
@chasereeves4 жыл бұрын
The version I have is the first 2.0 version, they may have updated. Stiff pockets highly likely. It's the main compartment that's easy-ish to get into with visibility. Thin strap doesn't rub me wrong, you get good at the buckle. (my pleasure! thanks for watching 🖖)

The aer daysling 2 is like so perfect for what I need but the one with the orange interior that I really want is out of stock and the normal one is a lot cheaper like $20 cheaper but it has this bland grey interior which I know is such a minor thing to be bummed about but like shit man. also the one with the boring grey interior is made out of ballistic nylon instead of the Xpack and idk I would like that more or less tbh. does anyone own either of these?

I’ve got my eye on the 6L right now, probably in midnight blue! I’m not a camera person, but I appreciate so many of their design details, and I like that I’ll be able to fit my 11” iPad Pro + Magic Keyboard in there (at least, I think so from the measurements… I should probably find out for sure). Glad to hear their aftersales support is so good! I think I probably need to sit down and really figure out my requirements… I’m starting to think what I need is a minimum of two new bags! One big enough to take my iPad and a bottle of water as well as everything else, and another small one for quick access to basic essentials (as a woman whose clothing is typically devoid of useful pockets). Some days I might need to carry more stuff and therefore take a backpack (which can do iPad and water bottle holding duties), and I think trying to carry both a backpack and the 6L sling is going to be cumbersome and annoying. Having to switch out between bags instead of having the One True Bag also seems annoying though, and guaranteed to result in not having all of the right things with me… this whole EDC thing is more complicated than it seems like it should be! (Thanks for the opportunity to think out loud here 🙂)
