I love these videos! I’m learning though songs but I do get stuck and she helps me with pronunciation correctly. I can read it but speaking has been difficult. I don’t want it to be because it is such a beautiful language!

I think of questions as the five Q's. They belong to a whole class of words including 4 and 5 which begin with P in the Brythonic languages. Due to Grimm's law these all soften to "f" and "w" in English. I find this fascinating. I have a theory that the change from hard "c" in other languages is some sort of "cacophony" avoidance. There is a deliberate bad pun in there somewhere.

I am hearing you pronounce -adh at the end of a word as “oo” and am wondering if that is Ulster dialect? Also, one more vote for a “questions” video. GRMA! And my sympathies, one of my dogs is also a quilt-licker...

Is -adh the general ending for progressive verbs? This makes verbs like "to sing" and "to clean" close enough to Welsh and Cornish to be confusing, although it probably will help nerdy me remember.
