I read Small Favors because you recommended it and I'm glad I did. A lot of little things that made you wonder and built the suspense. The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches was my favorite read this month. It was so warm and cozy. Anatomy sounds fantastic. A great gothic haunting book is The Hacienda. I am currently reading Nettle and Bone because of your recommendation and I have The House of Salt and Sorrows on my coffee table waiting to be read next.

I read The Hacienda this month and loved it! It’s the perfect fall read. It’s gothic and spooky, but not so scary that I felt like I couldn’t sleep.

I think The Priory of the Orange Tree is a good book to pick up in the fall. I actually read the first 60% earlier in the year but dnfed for the same reasons as you, I wanted a lot more of the world, but now knowing that there are going to be more books set in this universe, I'm super excited to pick it back up!

I am planning to read The Witcher after I finish the Throne of Glass series. 🍂 I am a HUGE fan of the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt video game so I am super excited. But I might sneak in either Caraval or The Crescent City series between I haven’t decided.

I would like to add two categories, Witches and Magical Realism. There are so many, but I'll add Garden Spells for MR by Sarah Addison Allen because I just finished it. There is sexual violence described but mostly it is a very sweet book. It's lovely and emotional and sad snd cute. Daisies for Innocence with two more books, a MR trilogy with a murder mystery twist but very light and charming. A magical garden, adorable animals and so on.. Just starting on Magic Lessons by Alice Hoffman a really witch book. Reread Sorcery of Thorns the perfect autumn book. There are so many 😅😅 im ending Oktober with Vespertine, a bit more spooky then my other reads I think!

I think for a fall witchy romance idea Kingdom of the Wicked trilogy by Kerri Maniscalco fits quite well. I have only read the first one and last one is not out yet, but it seemed pretty dark and lovely 😁

I really strongly recommend The Lantern's Ember by Colleen Houck. It is such a gem! I reread it every year, it's very Halloween, not spooky. More like Halloween Town Vibes but not in school setting. And sort of love triangle ish. I am DYING to read it again but I want to read it for Halloween

I'm about halfway through THE BONE ORCHARD. Confusing to start, but easy enough to follow after the first three chapters. Beautiful writing, and one of the most unique and inventive books I've read all year!

@@cozybookvibes it’s fairly minimal compared to your typical romance novel but it still takes me out of the story and annoys me. The actual relationship and the rest of the story are nice. I just skipped through the sex parts and enjoyed the rest of the book, but definitely skewed the way I reviewed it.
