The Mongols soldiers were promoted based on their military skills, not birthright. They could use both hands to fire a recurved bow, the most powerful bow at the time, on horseback at full gallop. They wore silk shirts under the leather, which would wrap around an arrow broadheads, making it safer to pull out. Poland has an annual celebration, reliving a victory over Genghis Khan, which never happened. Whoever writes history books, are always the hero and winners.

Yeah it was opposite actually in many facts in this movie, Mongols from year 1200 - 1600 never even reached 100k soldiers for world campaign, always low in numbers against large armies, even now/nowadays population is low in Mongolia still. If you check closely what Mongols were doing really, they were uniting people and crushing greedy system in other Countries and helped them to transform into unity and Government system rather than one man worship and rule which Great Tengri law, leader must be for the people not for its own gain or rule, people shall prosper and for that leader exists which in those dark ages greed over time accumulated some and heaven sent punishment using Mongol hordes, even Christian scholars at that time in Europe wrote as Mongols were sent as God punishment and we forgot God.

@SunZoo. Жыл бұрын
It's not the best trained soldiers but the best generals/tacticians. Mongols lost a battle in China where they outnumbered the Chinese in open field where they are at their best and lost that battle horribly. Subutai and Guo Kan after returning from their victories in Middleeast and Europe lost their battles in China. Mongke Khan died in a battle in China which cause the Mongol Empire to split into 4 kingdoms. Yuan in China/Mongolia, Chagatai in Central Asia, Ilkhanate in Middleeast, and Golden Horde in Europe. Europeans can make as many movies as they want, but in real history 30 Mongol horsemen is more than enough against 300 European knights of any country. It was World conqueror vs Peasant abusers.
@allytank-itykitty74172 жыл бұрын
Nah I wouldn't think so, knights also can use bows as well as Armour to protect themselves from incoming fire, it depends on what skill level of the knights and Mongols, 300 is a bit much as knights mainly were on horse back they would catch and gut them eventually with their superior numbers
@aclock22 жыл бұрын
@@allytank-itykitty7417 1- Mongols were superior riders to any knight, many of them spent more time on horseback than on foot from young age, and that's by far the most important factor in horseback fighting. 2- Mongols were also far superior when it comes horse archery, that's pretty obvious, their composite bow have longer range and better penetration power than any European bows at the time ( except for the English longbow which cant be use on horseback ). 3- 300 is a bit of an exaggeration yeah, but if it's on an open field, it's unlikely that the knight could catch the Mongol, not in their heavy armors and against superior riders 4 -Mongol can equip heavy armors too. 5- All in all, European best bet against Mongols were their castles not their cavalry.
@allytank-itykitty74172 жыл бұрын
@@aclock2 while I agree they had superior bows to anything anyone else has at the time, 2 bows for different fighting. For me it would come down to skill, a veteran knight would know the range and avoid direct contact, they were not stupid to just charge them. 1 on 1 at range a Mongol close the knight, but while they were great horse archers that does not mean they were invincible as they did have weaknesses and is why they struggled in parts of Europe, Though for the knights gear, it's Armour was good but chain is good for stopping peirce, but not blunt trauma so if they fired past the shield then that knight was gunna have a bad day if it didn't peirce his Armour

Historically, Russian princes mostly allied themselves with the mongols to attack their neighbors. And the mongol army were not entirely Mongolian, many Slavic warriors joined them for money. A Russian Knyaz didn't have more than 200 trained soldiers on his side compared with thousands professional killers on mongolian side. The downfall of the Golden Horde has when they started to fight each other with Russian help.

During the invasion of Tibet in 1950s, 8 young khsmpa monks with sword defended their monastery and held out PLA battalion for half a day.
@MrBottlecapBill2 жыл бұрын
My guess is the soldiers laughed at them........let them sit in the monastery for a while giving them a chance to surrender. When they didn't surrender, finally they were shot dead. They end lol. Swords vs modern guns is NOT a battle you'll win.

@@MrBottlecapBill According to Mao, invasion of Tibet cost more than one hundred thousand PLA lives. Maybe they died laughing 😃. Any way you made your 50 cent.

Russian propaganda shit. The mongols were skilled warriors, and the mongol horde was at the forefront of military technology at the time. All settlements of the Rus paid tribute to them.

This film is Russian propaganda. Especially including the last part about the battle on the ice which was a religious war and did not involve the mongols. I guess they believed their own smoke.
