Hey, is it just me or does anyone else find this annoying?( I don't mean the video but something said alot but came to light in this video) When they mentioned the first person (Merle Oberon) they classified her as half Indian and Half European. They claimed she his her Indian Half and even went so far as making her mother take the role as a servant. Then they talked about Dorothy Dandridge and Lena Horne saying they had African, Native, and European but referred to them as just African American. Hattie McDaniel's Native American descent never came up anywhere and I've read a lot of stuff on her. My point is if you are mixed with African you don't get a chance to explore you other side in Hollywood; in fact even in movies where it was key they had actors that had no African Heritage playing the rolls. Imitation of Life comes to mind (and let me stop you before you say it) While Fredi Washington was of mixed heritage she was still considered Black and the remake didn't have an actress in that roll that had any African ancestry so it got even more bizarre. Oh my Gosh I can't watch this video anymore. It just went from stupid to insulting. Rita Hayward was called Biracial. The narrator claims that While her mother was Irish and English and her father was from Spain. He also claimed that RIta had to downplay her Hispanic Descent. Let me help anyone that doesn't understand why this is so ignorant. Rita is of European Heritage and the three groups named are all from Europe. She has no Hispanic Heritage. She's White and isn't not mixed with anything non European. They never mention her even having a hint of Native American. Hispanic Heritage consists of Native American Ancestry, mixed with Spanish ancestry and sometimes African and Indian (Indian for anyone that doesn't know this is not the same as Native American)

Your wrong about Rita Hayworth; her father WAS SPANISH. When she was young she danced Flamenco as her father's partner as she was an accomplished dancer which helped her succeed in Hollywood. As the White mother of a son who father is Jamaican it's extremely important that BOTH SIDES of a child's heritage should be celebrated not hidden! People cannot conveniently deny either side pretending one does exist and one is prevalent over the other!!!!! And it has a name BI-RACIAL!

@@margaretthayer8266 Hey, Wrong about what? I know her father was Spanish because in her bio it says he's from Spain. Spain is in Europe which makes him White and not Hispanic.
