Enjoyed the cinema veritas scenes near the dock. The chaos of modern boating. Nice find on the switch. Intermittent problems can have you chasing your tail😢.

Great video. I still think having fuel tank mobility is the best option, for changing motors and rebalancing the weight.

Hey. Thanks for tuning in. Yeah, it's good and it's been mentioned a few times. But I prefer to take a different approach and under these circumstances, I just don't feel a few gallons of gas is going to do much, plus I'd have to put a floor in to keep the tank level, it's fairly steep with the v-hull up front. Those plates are extremely heavy. I don't know if they're steel or iron or what, but two of them weigh as much as a big marine battery! Thanks again & Stay Tuned !

I recently been researching props. Funny how longer tubes create stern lift and shorter create bow lift. Tube flairs, holes, pitch etc. Funny how certain pitchs give you top end others low end. I swapped out my 11 X 14 alu. prop with a s.s. prop and personally experienced how the longer tube on the s.s. prop would lift the stern of my boat out the water almost creating drag if you will. Props are so important, i never knew. With technology comes change i guess. Great video btw, love your channel. You have helped me with my E25RCR, it was through your channel i figured out my evinrude was missing the o ring that seals the needle itself. Replaced it, idles perfectly!

Hey. Thanks for tuning in. Well when you build one outboard out of two old outboards that have been sitting around for years you have to take the good with the bad, it's not unusual, things get old and wear out. It comes with the territory! Thanks again & Stay Tuned !

Love the videos! Is there any chance you could make a video showing all of the basics of getting the throttle linkage timed correctly and the idle smooth? I know you’ve addressed this in videos in the past, but I can’t seem to find it now. I have a 1990 Evinrude 25 that has always given me some problems, and I believe that is due to my timing being off. I currently have it idling, but it’s idling higher than I’d like, and when I let off the throttle, it doesn’t drop back to idle very smoothly.

If I have a little engine that wont start I just give it very small shot of starting fluid. If it fires I know its fuel problem if it doesn't I know its something else. Works every time and hasn't harmed anything I've owned to date.

@@THISOLDOUTBOARD1 I have the 2000 25hp Johnson outboardwith similar problems,The answer turned out to be an airlock.I had to purge the air out all the way to the carb.It was sucking air at he back of the fuel connection on the outboard. Great vids (ManchesterUK)

The wake off those wake boats. WATCH the wake as it goes across the lake. Where the wake starts white capping & every time a wake hits those certain spots & start white capping which should always be in the same place on the lake. Those are the BEST spots to catch fish. Take my word on THAT!! Its actually underwater points where it goes from deep water to shallow water & wakes always well up on those spots & white cap. I think the power of the water makes minnows tumble an also brings food up off the bottom of the lake. Take my word on it as those are thee best fishing spots!
@THISOLDOUTBOARD1

Hey. Yeah, wow that's funny, I do it all the time. Comes from my old surfing daze. Hahaha! But I never marked the spots to fish them, I'll have to give it a try some time. Thanks again & Stay Tuned !

Barge Bite is what we call it when bass fishing! It's like they react to the wake as it splashes against the dock etc.
