Very glad you got the two abys and the crested before they got bad as bad as the older piggy or Issac. Very sad to see an older piggy suffering like that. They deserve their retirement in comfort. And poor Issac, heartbreaking. I don't know if he pulled through but at least he won't suffer anymore.

Hi Saskia one of my piggies stopped eating, I fed critical care, softened food pellets and pureed any veg or fruit she would eat and water in between to rinse her mouth, it took nearly 3wks but we won, she is still with me now, happy and healthy💕

i have 3 girls gunea pigs and i have them in 2 midwestern cages put together long wise and right now im quaranteen the baby i got last night at petco i named her valentine and in 2 weeks im going to be accumating all three of piggies together! shes scared and im giving her a few weeks to know me and hear the other two piggies! you do good work with these babies!

Love what you do. Y’all don’t come for me, but I used to work at a vets office, and we often used ‘scabies’ as a synonym for ringworm. Obviously that’s not always the case but sometimes it is. Something to think about. Either way, I hope one day I can follow in your footsteps and open my own piggy rescue. I have two boys myself and I’d like to say I saved them. Bought them from feeders for the reason of clear upper respiratory infections. Both of them had sneezing with green discharge from nose, goopy eyes, and were way too young to be in a pet store. Unfortunately one didn’t make it but we made his life positive while we had him, and because I made such a big fuss the feeders supply stopped getting their pigs from this mass backyard breeder and went to a single reputable one. Obviously rescue is the best but I’m glad I was able to put a stop to some support of these corrupt companies that breed piggies for money with no regard for their health.

I am a totally new pig owner. we had four 2 boys and 2 girls.. shortly after getting sweet little Venus we found out that she was pregnant. I studied as much as I could find and watched Scotts videos on what to expect. It seemed that she was never going to have the babies. we could feel 2and possibly a third. We watched her very closely and last Sat. Feb.2nd we walked into the room and we see three little ones and a. very proud momma. We stayed close at hand and she seemed to be doing well.. Started feeding the babies after about 15 - 20 minutes. she seemed relaxed and all was well. Sadly Sunday am when we check in on her she was gone. After a lot os heart breaking and 100’s of tears we took her out and laid her to rest in our little pet cemetery. Now came our biggest challenge. 3 tiny ones that no longer had their momma. We called our local pet shop that has given us some really great advice up to the . We mixed up some pellets paste with canned pumpkin. they were doing pretty well until yesterday. the smallest one seemed so out of it and we tried everything to get her to eat. sadly by earLy last night she went to see her momma. Just could not fight anymore. so this morning little nugget was laid to rest next to her momma. the other two are doing very well but are still looking for their little sister.

Love all your great info. I had a cat with ringworm from a shelter in NYS. Cat collector had 200 cats. He got sulphur baths(stinky) and I put the athletes foot cream on too. It was very rewarding as I am a nurse. I really bonded with him. He lived 11 years. We are getting guinea pigs. I am soaking up all the info I can get. Happy New Year.

So I put in an application with you to rescue a boy piggie. Because my son rescued one a while back that was under feed and in need of a bath and the nails were curled around the feet. I have to help an animal in need. Now I have fell in love with him. I am trying to learn all I can about taking care of him. Now mind you I have never had had the pleasure of having one before the one I have now. So I was watching this video and realized that my boys weiner does not look like that. Its a very small pink thing that does not poke put like that. I went and picked him up to make sure i had not neglected to take care of something and now I need to change my application to adopt a Little please. Thank you so much for these videos or I would have extra piggies to take care of. So I am going to change my application.
