500k views! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and thank you for all the wonderful comments over the last couple weeks! I really appreciate all the love for Ace and I. He is an incredibly sweet and special boy, and doing tricks is his favorite thing in the world. Also, many people have been asking me how to train their own guinea pigs at home. I have a bunch of tutorials on this channel, and also on our website, guineapigtricks.com. Here are a couple videos I like to recommend if you're just starting out: How to start training your guinea pig: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fWqcfmyVat6cn80 5 Easiest tricks to teach first: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3LUf42IgK-ZjKc

@@oofers17 This is true. But that's not really what the other commenter was saying. She/he replied to someone's excited and happy comment about the Guinea pig and his/her comment was said in a way so as to take the wind out of her 'happy sails' so to speak. The kind of person who can't just sit back, keep their mouth shut, and let someone be happy about something. That's exactly what I meant when I said he or she was one of them.

/ /\/ _/ /\/\/ They’re really not if you wanna keep them right. They don’t cost much when you get them(15-25 bucks), but all the stuff you need for the cage and eventual vet costs are really expensive in the long run. We spent far more money on our guinea pigs than on our dog who has severe allergies and needs special food. Also, you should keep at least two guinea pigs because they are social animals and don’t have the capacity to see a human as an adequate replacement like a dog would. Unlike with birds who usually work best in couples, for guinea pigs it’s better to get two females, as males even when neutered will be very demanding of the females’ attention which will get very tiring for the females if there aren’t enough of them to split the male’s attention. They also get way older than most people expect for such a small critter, five years was the average, but we also had one grow over seven years old(we didn’t have her exact age, but she was an adult when we got her and had her for seven years) and a guinea pig KZbinr I know had a female named Tiramisu who grew over ten years old. Guinea pigs are really adorable, but they’re not to be underestimated when it comes to the work you need to put into them.

Try touching her all the times and reward her with treats when she is calm.. but if she tries To bite say a loud "NO" and put her immediately in her cage. That way she will associate the bitting with no more attention. My guinea pigs never bite anyone in their 7 years long life (this method works for pee and poop too).

@madladiesscientists68944 жыл бұрын

Probably, but stronger scents can really turn off some guinea pigs and seemingly upset them. One of my guineas is super sensitive to certain scents and will visibly "grimace," recoil, and run away from some smells - like a lotion I just put on, some hand soaps, and mint leaves (she bolts SO FAST from the last one lol). Just like a person experiencing an unpleasant odour, she curls back her lips, turns her head away, and backs off. Forcing them to search for strong, unpleasant scents would likely not work out well, gauging the strong reactions some have to scents. But then again, I've only had 1 pig out of 15 that was that sensitive, so maybe she's just a better sniffer than average. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Not every piggy can be trained either, I had one that couldn't even understand object permeation. Put something under a towel and he didn't understand what happened to it lmao.
