I don't train tricking so much these days due to health reasons with my body. Still, it felt nostalgic to go through all the basic and not so basic kicking tricks which I like to do. Hope you like it!

Was the health reasons caused from training?
@johzuke17 ай бұрын
@@odecx1325 2016 I injured my ACL and meniscus. Surgery was needed but in general that was an easy 1 year recovery. Then 2019 I made the meniscus a lot worse by landing one d-leg twist short. They had to remove a lot of it since it was so badly damged and it was very hard to live with the knee. The surgery made the knee better but it was still kinda bad and painful a lot of the time. I could train and progress as long as I made sure my muscles were very conditioned and I was resting enough between trainings. Then in 2022 I destroyed my MLC badly. I recovered it naturally without surgery but it is also now bothering me slightly. So my right knee is basically all good (not perfect but okay) if I do not train tricking but when tricking much but when tricking both sides of the knee can get pretty inflamed quite easily. Therefore it is the most wise for me to not trick much and lift more. Also tumbling is way more ok for the knee than tricking because the pressure applied is very rarely on the side of the knee like it is almost always at least a little in tricking.

@@johzuke1 your my favourite tricker and when i follow your tutorials i can see that you care about the health of us all, as you teach to slowly improve a safe angle rather than just trying to send it as a beginner. Lowering the risk of our own injuries, your truly kind. Have a good day.

Can hardly tell you don't train tricking much. Very clean kicks, definitely something to aspire to.

It's nice to hear. This was the first kick session for me in one month.

Correction 30 kicks that prolly wouldn't work in a fight unless you kick like Johannes. I just wanna say thanks for all the knowledge I'm almost 50 and I would never been able to do this at this age with out you Man!! Much love to you and yours and I know you'll heal fully and are able to trick through out your entire life.

It might not be optimal since you turn your back on whoever you're fighting, but I think a tornado kick (especially if done by someone strong like you) is enough to turn the guy you're fighting into an unassembled lego set. Plus you can use your left leg to feint before striking.

Impressive kicks aside, excellent music choice. Studio Ghibli makes everything better (even if it's a remix).

Very impressive as always🙌! The funniest part about Tricking humor is that we're very sarcastic and make fun of others' judgements of us. (Ex: "Won't work in a fight" or Does a cool trick "Can you do a backflip?"

Maybe I miss interpreted but I always saw you as someone that did good conditioning and stuff. Do you think tricking at a high level inherently causes issues or did you get injured early on before you started doing really good conditioning. Also what would you recommend for someone getting into it that wants to keep being able to do it later on in life.
@johzuke17 ай бұрын
I have always done good conditioning but still my body has gone through some of the worst injuries (torn ACL, torb meniscus x2 + osteoarthritis due to that, and torn MCL). I have been able to continue tricking for 4 years after the worst injuries and progressed too but it is not very wise to continue pushing. The more I push tricks, the worse I feel. The less I push them and instead just focus on strengthtraining stuff, the better I feel. So I really should do that instead.
@johzuke17 ай бұрын
Sorry forgot to answer the question. Don't get a bad injury, it might destroy you for good even though you do everything right with the recovery. And the right interpretation would be that it's still possible to progress in tricking with a bad injury as long as you condition well but there is a limit.
