Nice work, Michael. That's a simple but VERY satisfying and efective design. One thing that worries me a little is that there's no safety catch, and there is some risk of accidentally triggering the release of the brackets. Thank you very much for sharing your work.

very nice results / elegant and simple design / good workmanship! You might find yourself making more of those - strong flip-up tables could be useful elsewhere. If you want to reduce the lateral movement, some washers as shims would tighten things up.

did you remove the mill scale before welding, i am a newbie to stick welding , i find everyone over here saying how important it is to remove or else the weld will fail, just trying to learn welding and not getting the desired results.

Awesome, they can certainly hold the canoe!
@BigDaddyOworkshop7 жыл бұрын
Yep, weight wise and depth won't be a problem. It's the holding the canoe on them while raising and lowering the canoe i'm trying to figure out. As well as how to release both catches at the same time while supporting the canoe by myself, and ensuring it fits over some french doors and above/past a ceiling fan.

Very Nice build I downloaded the plans many applications for those brackets. I also subscribed to your channel. Also, thanks for not having music dub overs. Just you and the camera.

Very nice. Just what I need. However, I do not have the metal work "capacity that is needed for constructing these. Is it possible to purchase from you?

Just what I needed to make a folding extension for my table saw ! But a word of advice my friend , welding near a curtain is not a good thing to do ! I know cause I nearly burned my garage down just a few sparks all it needed. luckily I always keep my fire extinguisher at hand and a bucket of water.

Very cool. Can I ask what welder you used? Model #. I want to weld but can't justify buying a beefy welder, but it looks like I may be able to afford a smaller model like the one you were using? Thank you!....
