Today's session is a 30 minute full body standing pilates workout featuring the resistance band. A challenging workout for the whole body, it'll work on balance, leg, hip, shoulder and arm functional exercises and you will absolutely feel it by the end- in a good way of course! This session will pay particular attention to toning the arms, shoulders, legs, hips and thighs as well as the core. Don't worry if you don't have a band you'll still be able to do the workout and feel the benefits. Enjoy!

This one is a challenge for the whole body and in particular great for improving the strength and function of the shoulder joint, toning the arms and back and with my addtional standing leg exercises you will also improve the tone in your legs, hips and glutes as well as your core. I have many qualifications but the first one was the Basi Pilates Comprehensive Teacher Training with additonal Dance Specilaisation. I became Fully Certified to teach in 2011, this was after 10 yeras of practice as a client and then 500 Hours of study, practice, apprentice teaching and observation of other teachers. A very demanding but excellent training course. Since then I have attended many other course for my CPD. 🤗

Wow I never used to do this before years ago, forgotten it and found it again today and was able to do them all. I learned over the years of consistent exercising that it works for strength. Consistency truly is the keyword. Been consistent x over 3 years now 5 days a week consistent exercise. Thanks for all you do Rachel you’ve touched a lot of people especially on the poorer side.❤❤❤❤❤

Today I used another band. I will remind me to get a pilates band. i like the way you mix up standing and mat work. Also, I like to mix up weights and bands.I feel it works the muscles differently. I appreciate your excellent teaching.

Thank you so very much, Rachel, for another fantastic resistance band exercise! I find using the band for exercise is very beneficial to my old injuries, beaten up senior body. Finally got a flexi band and loved this session ❣️Some creaky joints but great routine since our fitness center is still closed. This will be added to your other classes that i do regularly since beginning of Covid. You are such an inspiration Rachel...thank you 🥰

I saw this before but skipped it because it doesn't say it's for senior but curiosity got into me today and decide to try it, I'm glad I did. I didn't think I could do this because I have problem with both my shoulders. Thanks Rachel for sharing us your energy and expertise to make this particular senior feel better

I love working with the band, and almost love this band routine a bit more than your other band exercises! These exercises are fabulous. I'd love more arm and upper back exercises. Those muscles need strengthening.

This is a great class. I love the standing classes the most and this was no exception. This is a good workout - deceptively simple, you work hard. I did it without a band, mirroring the movements without a band, and it is a great workout with or without a band. Thank you for another great class.

Very nice indeed! Love the use of the band , my dodgy knee didn't complain too much either! If you could do a be mindful of knees comment whenever the arthritis might find a challenge! More classes on knee and hamstring flexibility would be wonderful!
