Started doing this workout with 15lb dumbbells about a year ago. Now I do it with 40s. Do it at least once every two weeks and have had amazing results. Imo one of the best all around lower body routines ever. Thank you!

Awesome workout! This was my first wo with you, and I loved it! I'm 5 months postpartum, and still trying to build up my fitness again! Prior barb I was an instructor myself as my fun part time (very part time) 'job'. I was put on rest during my pregnancy, and have discovered a new love... being a mommy! It's so important to be healthy and energized, which my 30 minutes of me time every morning provides me! Thank you!

Hi Kat! This is the first video workout of yours that I have done, and I LOVED it! I have been working out for many, many years, and I can say that this was an excellent leg workout. Love this one! Your channel is my go to for workout inspiration! I use only 10-15 pound weights right now- have some issues with my hips/knees/ankles and have to be very careful with my form. But I love your videos!

Oh my goodness, I am so happy that I am your go-to for kicking booty! ^____^ 10-15 lb weights are AWESOME! And form over all else, always. =]] You can always add negatives/time under tension for a crazy challenge if you're getting bored with your weights. Ex) Having a 4 second negative on the way down of a bicep curl will increase time under tension and the kraziness will ensue. Mwahaha. Keep on kicking all the booty!

I really liked this!! I have gotten so used to the same moves over and over. This was a great change up! I have a suggestion that would help between moves. Maybe put the name of the next move in the corner so we can see what is next and think about how we will need to adjust our weights. For those of us that use these videos while watching TV or listening to music, that would help tremendously.

Started my day with some db strength. I've been struggling between accepting I cant lift heavy right now (with gyms being closed and not having alot of equipment at home) and accepting and loving this new part of my fitness journey that you are teaching me about. As there are so many factors that influence calorie burn - weight, room temperature, intensity given, body composition, weights used, and more - I don't currently have plans to add a calorie counter. Your best and most accurate bet is to get a heart rate monitor! =]

I tend to save this particular workout for when I have some extra energy. It really burns out my legs, particularly the elevator squats at the end! I love it! I used 10lb weights for the whole thing, though I think it's time to invest in something heavier

I combined this workout with your 30 min lower body cardio hiit video and was definitely feeling the fatigue towards the end. I like how much stability work you incorporate into your routines. Could you tell me what the RDLs work? I definitely feel a good stretch when I do them but they don't require a lot of effort, should I use heavier weights for those? Thank you so much!!

Kat, every time I do upper body my neck gets sore the next day. My core is always engaged but somehow I seem to tense my neck. Any suggestions?? Love your workouts, keep 'em coming!!! 😊

Hey Suzanne! ^____^ A reoccurring thing I find with my clients is that they tense up their traps when they do moves like front and side raises. You may be "chickening" your neck during push-ups and not keeping it neutral with your spine, especially on the down movement. You may also be chickening your neck during back flys which can cause unneeded tension on the traps as well. Take your time and concentrate on the muscles you're supposed to be working and make sure you're not recruiting other muscle groups in the mix. I hope this helps out! Lemme know how it's going!

Would've been a realllyyyyyy great workout but my room is small so I struggled a bit when you've started doing moves on the mat, had to adjust my mat every time you switched XD will probably borrow a bigger room when it's leg day

It really depends on your goals and how many reps you wanna get it - but you never know until you try - as long as you can do it with good form and without injury! Do a few reps with heavier weight and finish out with lighter weight if you need to drop down!

I hate cardio. I pretty much only do strength training and then some pilates to mix it up. If I'm going to do cardio, I would also do it first to get it out of the way.
