How is the area itself affect home value ? I know we drove through there and it’s mainly a trailer park surrounding the home outside the fence . Not that it really matters but I know in ohio it definitely affects home values . Thinking it’s different with”beach living “

The Keys is unique in this way. I was just speaking to a local contractor about that very topic this week! We were using Michigan as an example, but similar I am sure to Ohio where you are from. Our islands are small, thus you do have different zonings very close. This particular estate is a private retreat, and once you enter, you are surrounded by the lush landscaping and fully immersed in the private oasis. Most don’t even know the estate exists here. And yes, it is a unique characteristic of the Keys. The different islands do affect home value overall as they each have their own unique offerings. But you will find that there are a mixture of properties at very different values within these islands.

The house is truly beautiful but I'm not convinced that it is in a $21,000,000 neighbourhood. Also, too close to the overseas highway and airport.

Those who see it firsthand realize the five acres of lush landscaping and ultimate privacy offered at this stunning estate. The Keys is very unique, being an island chain, once you drive through that private gated entrance and alongside the long drive through the rain forest and down Palm Alley at Bait Shack Estate, everything disappears and you are in paradise.
