This yoga for depression practice invites you to reconnect with your physical body in order to reconnect with your emotions and anything that feels blocked or numb. This practice might be helpful to those struggling with depression (sadness, grief, heaviness) and/or dissociation (numbness, feeling disconnect from oneself or their environment). This is a great beginner yoga practice and incorporates concepts of Trauma Informed Yoga as a way to start or deepen your mental health journey in order to feel more calm, regulated, and at ease daily. Yoga for mental health is a wonderful resource to add to your toolbox for self-improvement.
