OMG, WTF, how did some of my favorite singers get to their 80's? I still listen to their music & in my mind they look like they did when I was 16. To think that so many of them are still singing their tunes & bringing us joy. Proof that singing loud & clear will keep you young!!!!!

But we have to figure in that Bobby and Fabian had a few hits in the 50's,where few survivors of recording in that decade exist now.Yes,Lloyd is gone,the only surviving recording artist that had had a few hits in the early '50s.Now,survivors had started recording from '55 on,Connie Francis started in '55.

Frankie Avalon has been a favorite of mine since I saw him in the Beach Party movies as a preteen, with Annette Funicello! Miss her so much & May she Rest In Peace! How I loved them both & thought they made the cutest couple! They were two of my biggest idols growing up, as well as Paul Anka, too!♥️. I saw Frankie Avalon in concert too as well as Paul Anka , Bobby Rydell & Fabian! Frankie Avalon always looked fantastic & I swear, he never seemed to age. I remember seeing him in the movie “GREASE” & was dumbfounded seeing him in this movie for he still looked like a teenager, himself! He has led a good & healthy lifestyle . A really wonderful husband, father & man too. So many admirable qualities that Frankie Avalon has.

You may not know, and I learned only recently, that Frankie was a trumpet prodigy, so talented that the principal trumpet of the Philadelphia Orchestra offered to give him lessons WITHOUT CHARGE! As a brass player with a Bachelor degree in music, I was stunned to discover this when, from our public library, I saw a DVD titled "Those Fabulous Fifties," on which is a clip from the old Jackie Gleason show featuring Frankie, at about age 10, playing "Tenderly" on the trumpet--terrific!! I envy his ability!! He could have been a very successful classical, orchestral trumpeter, but wisely went for the big bucks and fame in pop music and movies. I would love to have heard him in person with his horn.

Sadly both have now passed! Phil passed away quite a few yrs ago & sadly Don just recently passed away! May they both Rest In Peace! Loved their songs & I remember my girlfriend’s sister playing their music all the time when I slept over her house. I so loved every single one of their songs too. (Nancy is sadly now in heaven too, died young of MS) & May She Rest In Peace, as well! The Everly Brothers were extraordinary & are sadly missed! ♥️Their music will keep their memories alive forever!♥️

He could have cared less about Richard. I never in my life thought I would meet him. I also met and talked with David Copperfield, another dream come true. Jaclyn Smith. Gary Lewis, and many more from all walks of life. Soap opera stars, television, movies, and more. Bill Pullman graduated from our local college. The only persons I always wanted to meet were Carol Burnett, Lucille Ball, Bob Hope and Gary Sinese. There is still time 🙂🙏🙂👍
