30 NEW CAMP Locations in Skyline Valley on Fallout 76 2024

The map expansion for Fallout 76 is here with the Skyline Valley update, and I have been exploring and documenting my findings in the PTS! Here are 30 unique spots that I was able to find that I think will make great locations to build new camps! I found 10 notable spots, 10 water spots, and 10 flat spots, and I am excited to see what your favorite is!

Thank you for the video, I am sure a lot of people will find a location to build based on your ideas. The last location would be ideal place for the scout's bus and minimal external camp with the Summer Camp as main area to view. Still no snow locations.

@@misterchurch666 Word of warning, the Summer Camp shelter, has a lot a places where items just sink below the ground level. Above the pond area, seems to be the worst part for sinking. Maybe it is supposed to quicksand. Bethesda quality control and testing strikes again.

I had a camp built along the old southern edge in between what is now the weather station and the ranger station on the north of the expansion. They raised the ground for some reason so now my camp is half underground. Still useable and kinda looks cool

I had a similar thing happen to my mansion under the map, except they lowered the ground so it’s floating and you can’t get down in there anymore (I mean I can make a new entrance but heh) lol it’s ruined

I set up a camp just up from the Naked Creek, the Threshers came to look for me and did attack me unprovoked. I also encounters a Blue Devil after a lightning bolt hit the satellite, making that sound that is made when you activate the Mirelurk signal at Specticle Island in 4

There's a spot SE of camp liberty on the corner edge of SLV with a garden (perfect for herb builds, free resources) and also fenced off(mostly)

I made a camp at that ice cream spot. Its a rad little location. Next one will be one of the waterfalls. 😊 You can add items inside the ice cream shop too.

About a week or two ago I built a camp on the southern most edge of the map on a high ridge overlooking the new region. I’m interested to see if my camp is still there and what the view looks like now.

If it’s there, there’s a chance it’s floating, some of the terrain has been adjusted in the area

the Location at 20:28 didn't work out well for my camp, but a short walk slightly down from it along the River had the perfect spot for my Camp and so far no one has used the small Pool of Water so my Camp has placed 100% of the time, only downside (and something you might not have known) is it's right on a Radstag spawn so whenever i spawn into a private world or someone joins a server and causes a mob reset, a bunch of Radstags Spawn and attack the base, that said a few glowing Radstags is not really a deal breaker compared to constant Super Mutant spawns or Nukes

Idk if you showed it, I was making my own camp at the time. But by the radio tower part of the new quests that's guarded by Mutants, is a tree house up the hill. I put my camp there and turned the tree house into a store/ workshop. There's also a body on the steps that you can use the new "arrow props" along with a "no trespassing sign" overall I think it's a decent area. Im not the best builder, but I'd definitely like to see what you can do with that, cause you gotta use rugs to place objects in the tree house. Maybe one day if you're on, you can hop in my lobby or vice versa. And I can show you what I did. Overall good video Church🤟

Thanks for the info. I'm currently downloading the update. Looking forward to exploring the new area. I also cannot wait to see people use a weather station to hide the new storms. Nothing helps my immersion more than walking up to a clean pre war house and blue skies.

No, that one is a bit tricky and you need to place the module near the back of the parking lot near the building :)

My only gripe about the new region is that the game won't show where a nuke lands in that region. 99% of the time a nuke will start the event but to the 1% chance, you will not know if your base is getting ground zeroed. Otherwise, this region has some of the best real estate for building thus far.

Nice video, thanks for this, lots of places to explore. I don’t think I’d build in the first “Scariest Camp spots in America” set.😱 I like the ‘Comrade Chubs’, ‘Waterfall of Specialness’ and the southern ‘Massive Trees areas’. Water & High places with a view are my favs tho. It’s tempting, but I’ll probably avoid 3 ponds for now (I still build in the ‘ugly stuff’ category and don’t want to contribute😂) Looking forward to seeing what u come up with at any of these new locations. Don’t make us wait too long please!☺👍

There is a big dryish pond left near old crimora mines that got an ogua spawning in the middle of it ya could make a camp with it AS a pet because it refuses to leave the pond unless ya get close or got turrets

FYI, if you happen to have a campin an older location, the clift in the south west corner over looking the ash heap, depending on how tucked away your camp is it may no longer be accessible. Mine is not. Says its out of bounds. I am sad, was my best camp.

for the cave you can set up inside the cave or above it, if the beach with the tire swing isnt working, someone might have a fast travel tent blocking it or something

try placing it on the roof of the shop/close to that area in the parking lot, you cant go too close to the road or it turns red! If it still doesn't work, it's because there is a survival tent nearby most likely

Although I haven’t seen this one yet so hopefully it’s at least manageable so I can actually try and build something that looks good. All the shelters besides the root cellar are just too big to do anything with that looks good

I just double checked and you can! Make sure your module is closer to the back of the shop, it won’t let you place it near that camper in the road. Also make sure no one has any survival tents nearby - those have massive footprints

I found an absolutely perfect flat spot near the southern border and it's absolutely worthless because Bethesda fucked up with the lighting and if you walk past a certain point across the entire length of the map border it somehow disables shadows for camp items and looks like shit.

It does don’t worry! I double checked today in a private server! Make sure you are placing the module down near the back of the shop, if you get too close to the road it turns red. Also it helps to do it in a private server in case someone has a tent nearby that blocks the surround 40 miles

You can! Others have had this same issue, just make sure 1) no fast travel tents or camps are anywhere around, and 2) you have to place it in the back corner of the parking lot near the building ☺️
