(At 21:24) The thing about the item is floating, if you place a standard big rug from the build menu down on the floor tile then the blueprint (Free wall), it will place the blueprint. Then you can delete the rug and the cooler.

Used to be able to just blueprint 2 poles together and place them anywhere you want, including floating, but no because you could make floating foundations and that's just too much darn fun for a Bethesda game.

That catwalk and bridge ones are awesome. Geez those 2 and the stairs one I could have used so many times for pathways on builds 🤦🏻♂️👌🏻 Yo definitely do a part two if you have more. This was helpful for sure man. Thank you 🤘🏻 PS- it might not be the cleanest design but the bridge/shed, I wonder if a wall doorway will fit in it. Make a tiny house build out of those pieces 🤔

Is there a way to do the circle trick with second floor pieces? I've got a camp that's clipping past the floor, and I would really love to have circular floors for the greenhouse dome.

You can’t with floor pieces, but you can use roofs. If you set the roofs up above where the foundations are, they will all flip. You can then burn them to add some to the middle to cover the hole. You can also just build and burn them if you don’t want to make a new blueprint

Good question! Put a roof slant on every other wall, destroying them with a flame trap, and then adding roofs to the other walls

There isn’t a substitute for the catwalks, as nothing else functions the same way. They will return to the shop, or you can put in a ticket with Bethesda support and buy them that way if they aren’t in the shop but you have the atoms :)

I work in games and manufacturing as a 3d modeler so I'm used to having all of the tools at my disposal but there's something about accomplishing interesting designs while fighting limitations in a system like people do in Fallout 76 that's just so fun. Been playing since launch and I still come back to see if I can come up with something interesting. If Bethesda just added dev tools to make these glitch camps easier it'd probably make it less fun lol.

You can turn sensitivity down in settings, I also use a controller that has a longer right joystick so you have slightly more control. It gets stick drift and then it flies all over the screen and I edit most of that out 😂

@@kawaiiashley4427 yes, they all work for it, but the fortress one seems to be lower down, which means snapping downward from it seems to not work as well. Which blueprints are you having trouble with specifically? Some don’t necessarily require catwalks

hi! i know this is an old video and you might not see this. but ive gone down the rabbit hole of watching your build videos. question: do the fortress catwalks (those wooden ones we got for free) work the same as the vault ones? i only have the fortress ones and tried to use this trick to free place a wall and cant figure out if i fucked up the blueprint or if it is just these specific catwalks that work.

yes, kind of! You can use that atom shop scaffolding to float stairs as well (you can delete the scaffold after snapping stairs to them) but the catwalks are way easier to use

catwalks are atom shop items, there are basic and alien catwalks (both work exactly the same!) so wait till they are in the store (they cycle through pretty regularly!) if you have the vines (also atom shop), it is possible to use them instead - I have a more recent blueprint video with more info if you need! Hope this helps

It is atom shop, but it’s not always in the shop! You can open a ticket with Bethesda and purchase them that way if you have enough atoms on hand

@@propowa9215 unfortunately no, because it would require the upper floors to be floating individually. You can however use roofs and they will flip the same way as the foundations will if you put them over the walls (and keep the walls facing inward) for the middle, just burn the roofs in place and fill in the gaps
