After Unity came out I was hoping with all my heart that the next game would be in Victorian London specifically for Jack the Ripper (I even fanfic’d a whole story plot for it called Assassin’s Creed: Victory). When Syndicate was officially announced I knew Ubisoft would incorporate Jack the Ripper because it’s too big a mystery for AC to NOT include.

To me it was Rogue with it's plot twist and how it shows that the multi-generational war between the Templars and Assassins wasn't so black and white but had plenty of shades of gray To me what I liked most about Syndicate is they finally got rid of that stupid auto-climb mechanic. You only climb when you push a button to climb. Nothing was as immersion breaking as running around trying to get away or chase someone and when you bump into a doorway instead of bouncing off you climb up and hang there while the enemies knock the stuffing out of you. It was especially bad in Unity because it was always so crowded

I know another one from Black Flag. The trial of Mary Read and Anne Bonny who both "pleaded their belly" (pregnancy) to keep from getting hanged. They were caught with Calico Jack Rackham and tried by the British at Port Royal, Jamaica. Mary Reed did get sick and died in prison as portrayed in the To Suffer Without Dying quest in Black Flag.

Agreed especially since the entire game is premised on a major historical inaccuracy. The Assassins were horrible people and were radical Islamic Terrorists, not the good guys. Of course if that was accurately portrayed the game and the series would have been dead in the water from day one. Especially in 2006 at the height of the War on Terror

AC Valhalla got everything wrong about 'Samhein' - Mary Lywd is a welsh tradition during Christmas time, not halloween. The wickerman burning if actually ever done and not roman propaganda would have been during mid summer festivities. Samhein was an Irish tradition, not even English/Weslh. That game out of all the AC games was the most painful to play. It's like they stopped bothering trying to research anything. *cough* deadly snakes and bears in England *cough*
