I was fishing off of a submerged (about 2 feet) sand bar once and looked towards the beach just in time to see a 8-10 foot bull shark swim through the channel between the sandbar and the beach. I haven't been off the beach since then.
@jackpayne3996 Жыл бұрын
I was a short distance, north of Daytona Beach about thirty years ago, a couple of weeks after a storm had delivered major waves that came all the way up and over the glass seawall and into the swimming pool at the resort where we stayed on vacation. The result of the waves rushing back out from the beach, washed a tremendous amount of beach sand out as well, creating a submerged sandbar a good distance from the shoreline. Intrigued by the beauty of the ocean and blue skies, my son and I ventured out a ways, going through a stretch of water getting deeper, and becoming shallow as we reached the sandbar. At that point, we were in water, unlike near the shore, where the clarity was poor, due to turbulence, we in about two feet of water that was crystal clear. We turned around, faced the beach, which appeared to be a mile away, (but, not 😲) only to realize, now we've got to go back through the deeper area to get back to shore. It was then, I imagined how terrible it would if a Great White decided to pass through, looking for some lunch!😬 I've never had the urge to venture out again. These people in these clips: "JUST PLAIN CRAZY!" My motto, now: "Play studid games, ya might win stupid prizes!" 😧

Bull sharks are notorious for being aggressive. While many marine biologists and the likes will often try and educate people about the misconceptions that sharks are "man eaters" they all do still in fact state that bull sharks truly will intentionally attack a human and here in Australia the bull sharks are being found in canals and rivers not just in the ocean, I'm like cause Australia doesn't already have enough stuff that will kill you...
@LaurenAlexandra13 Жыл бұрын
People are always afraid of Great White Sharks and their reputation....but Bull Sharks and Tiger Sharks are definitely the most aggressive species. Bull Sharks will hunt in 3 foot deep water and purposely run into your legs (charging like a bull) to get you off balance or possibly more of you submerged in the water. Then they usually immediately bite after their charge.
@reactivereplays5666 Жыл бұрын
Did you not know about sharks before that? Shows how much people just do anything without thinking about what will actually happen "if"... First time you see a shark "never again". Sounds like you thought "I am a human and the are dumb animal I'll be fine."
@pugowner1347 Жыл бұрын
@@reactivereplays5666 Sounds like you're one of those insufferable know it alls. You know a little about a lot of things. I've been a beach person all my life. Lived in coastal cities 53 out of my 63 years within 15 minutes of the water. Worked shrimp boats and oil rigs. I probably know as much about sharks as anyone that isn't on some sort of scientific study group. Including deep sea sharks, like sleeper sharks and goblin sharks. I also know that humans are not considered "prey" by most costal sharks. That's why over 90% of shark attacks are just one bite. If they liked us, they would be hanging out, waiting for us. Like they hang out around seal colonies. However, seeing one that is known to chew on people between you and safety (land) puts a new perspective on things. Yeah, I know I responded fast. I was checking tonights weather for fishing. 😁

Go to the Maldives. Not only do they have baby blacktips all over the beaches (feeding on smaller fish), but you can encounter adults in the reefs around the islands. I had a 4' adult swim past me about 15' away. It was exhilarating! Of course, you also can spot eagle rays, sea turtles, dolphins, etc. But the blacktips are everywhere. Good luck...

I wish people would just leave animals alone. So much harm has come to them through man's hands. The wild animals will ofcourse be frightened if you intrude on their territory. Put the animals before your selfish wants... Animals, birds, mammals, creatures of rivers and the seas are beautiful and meant to be in their natural habitat. Man's unquenchable greed has forced these beautys of nature into zoos and marine parks. This should be a criminal offense. Especially these days when you are able to watch these incredible beings in their own habitats on National Geographic, etc. There are so many options. No regards for the creatures of the land or sea and their happiness. If you visit zoos and marine parks your as much to blame. These creatures were not put on earth to jump through hoops and do all kind of performance tricks. Nor should they be "stuck" in an enclosure that man made...they need to roam free. When will mankind wake up and see the cruelty they have committed? I would imagine it would be when they can no longer make money at it.

The clip at 27:12 truly is scary. I wonder when the crocodile moved in and for how long it actually waited until showing itself. But that man is extremely lucky. To me it seems like the croc is coming up like "peekaboo" "how you doin". Sure if the man didn't back away at all, he could have been the meal. But I'm sure the croc would do more of a lounge that would get at least half of its body out of water.
