In fact, from all of the shark attacks recorded, some people had weapons and it made the shark go absolutely into a frenzy resulting in some pretty gruesome deaths. Sharks are dangerous. But so is every other thing. Sharks are actually very curious and kind animals, some of the friendliest in the ocean. All the attacks you hear of are either testing bites or humans harassing the shark, they don't actually attack humans. They are like ocean cats.
@NicoleCatherinee Жыл бұрын
Sometimes sharks mistake people for seals. They don’t intentionally try to attack people. However, when people splash around & move a LOT, they will mistake humans for prey. You’re way more likely to get struck by lightning than attacked by a shark. They aren’t a neighbors cat, however they aren’t these human eating predators that a lot of people mistake them for! They’re very curious, and use their mouths to identify things. There are about 50-70 attacks by sharks per YEAR on earth. It’s VERY rare. There’s a documentary on KZbin where a few shark scientists go to Guadalupe and see if they are able to swim with great whites, and eventually end up swimming in the open ocean with one! The shark even lets them ride on their dorsal fin quite a few times. Their very curious fish but they are notttt as aggressive toward humans as the media tries to display

What people really don't understand is that all these sharks are not aggressive. In every single clip they are disturbed by humans either by jumping on them, boating over them, getting in their way with surf boards and what not. People in cages baiting great whites with fish and then freaking out when the exact shark they wanted to see comes and gets the fish they brought to bait him. those werent fishing lines, those are swiming bodies attached to bait. Sharks use their mouths and fins to touch things as they don't have hands. Rarely any shark encounter ends up deadly, because sharks are NOT aggressive. People don't understand nature because we have become so distanced that we forgot how to read our environment und the animals living in it. Also we keep forgetting, that the ocean is NOT our environment and that we do nothing but disturb the ocean and all living things in it.

@Liza-dh6vo2 жыл бұрын
love these videos but i does make me sad how the narrator paints the sharks to be so agressive. A majority of all shark attacks are a case of mistaken identity, sharks are naturally curious like puppys(and baby sharks a litrally called pups!) sharks explore with thier mouths, and arnt always looking for food. sharks also cant swim backwards so ofc they run into the cages and keep trying to go forward, they are not attacking the cage or trying to get the divers. Sharks are not mosters and its sad how people make them out to be.
@Liza-dh6vo2 жыл бұрын
and yes ik some of these videos the sharks are actually agressive but it bc of the divers! when the drivers fight back they are just egging the shark on and triggering it, plus its there enviorment ofc they will be protective if someone starts shoving a spear gun in there face.

Many of these "The diver/fisherman managed to escape" videos, it's clear the shark wasn't attacking or hunting them. For example #23, with how close that shark was, if it really was hunting, that guy would have been much too late to react at the speed that he did. I'm not saying sharks are not dangerous and you shouldn't be cautious around them (I'm terrified of them and hence will never swim in open seas), but many times they really aren't out to get us.

I wish the narrator would do the effort of looking at the tags on he bottom of each clip and using that info to search what happened after.

Great White sharks look adorable from the front, friendly even. Then they turn into the equivalent of a car with the strongest bite force on the planet and large white serrated teeth coming at you.

11:58 This is completely ridiculous. This clip was of divers watching the tiger sharks from up close and if you just simply watch the video which isn't that long, you will see that before the tiger shark attacked them, that the divers were constantly touching and POKING the shark with a stick for no reason whatsoever. Touching is an obvious nono to a wild apex predator, but poking the shark with a stick when it clearly wants nothing to do with you is just asking for trouble. This shark likely felt threatened and stressed by all of the touching and poking, so it defends itself. Many clips in this video are sharks doing their thing and this guy for some reason tries portraying them as dangerous sharks.

My anger issues when he pokes the "terrifying" sea puppy nurse shark with a knife.. just give her the fish ffs... The most docile sharks ever, really like to dive with them.

3:36 As a lawyer for sharks, that guy shouldn't have gone in the shark's way, look at the poor guy, he was just trying to swin around
