From one skyscraper geek to another….check this out. There’s a small incorporated city next to Miami called Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. It has a crazy number of skyscrapers for a city with only a population of 20,000. The top 5 tallest would average around 200 meters in height. Very similar situation to the Monterey suburb on your list. Loved your presentation! 😎

I just looked it up and you’re totally right! That should have been on the list. I think I saw that skyline when I went to Miami a few years ago, but I thought I was looking at Ft. Lauderdale. Please do a "Meet Toronto" video! the GTA needs more love! And you're right, boy is the skyline gonna change in the next few years. The tallest building in Canada is currently under construction at Bloor and Yonge, named the One, at 338m. It'll be Canada's first supertall skycraper, but certainly not its last. There are another 10 or so supertalls coming to the city in the next decade or so.

Yes I agree about the smallest city skylines. However maybe ten. And based on cities with let's say 500,000 population within the city limits. Never mind the metropolitan areas. There's a small mistake on the list. Monterrey has the biggest skyline in Mexico since San Pedro is a suburb/municipality of Monterrey's Metropolitan Area. If you're counting per cities/municipalities, then Mexico City can't be that high since it's a State not a city. The tallest skyscraper in Mexico City is in the Benito Juarez municipality, and the next 4 are in Cuauhtemoc.

Crazy to think if you factor in all the proposed or unbuilt buildings, might change the list up. Its also interesting to note the gap differences which are pretty massive. The difference between the top 4, in the western hemisphere... in many regards and measurements, Toronto is a much larger city than Philly, and more closer to Chicago. But Chicago used to have just 3 main supertalls the sears tower, john Hancock and the standard oil building, but with trump tower and st regis that makes 5 supertalls in the same downtown, which arguably is more impressive than a single 1700-2000ft building surrounded by much shorter buildings (lower Manhattan, gta cn tower, tokyo skytree , burj khalifa dubai) add in the new tribune tower and the replacement for the spire site, that's 7 supertalls in the same downtown
