EU citizens are eligible for the 30% ruling as long as you live 150km away from the Dutch border (as stated on iamsterdam website).

Hello, I started a company in the Netherlands on 10.07.2023, as a result of an MMV visa. I am a civil engineer. After my company's long application process, I received approval for the 30% advantage. However, my session ended on 01.04.2024 and I moved to Germany. I have the approval letter. This How can I get my tax refund back? Also, can I change my driver's license to a Dutch driver's license with this confirmation letter?

Sorry, i have a question, I am an Italian Permanent resident holder, is there any advantages for EU permanent resident holders who want to work in The Netherlands or it’s the same process to get work permit? Thanks

Hi Jess, Thank you very much for your explanation. My situation is as follows: I was offered a job offer from an employer in the Netherlands, they applied to my work permit under the highly skilled migrant visa, in order to get the work permit for both me and my husband. While receiving a feedback from the IND, they stated that they will have an answer for my work permit latest end of the week as for my husband an answer will be given latest February. Aren’t we supposed to have the work permit both the same time, what’s the reason of this time difference? Thank you in advance
@jessbamtefa2 жыл бұрын
Hello Hana, thanks for your comment. I'm unsure of the reason. It is possible that they have a high influx of requests and they are just prioritising since you are the one with the job that's bringing you the Netherlands. I remember my son's permit was ready before mine and my husband's as well. If you are not already in the Netherlands, you can both travel here with your MVVs anyways. I hope this helps!

Hello, the video was informative. Thanks I have a question: what is the tax that is charged on the 70% of the income after the 30% ruling?
@jessbamtefa2 жыл бұрын
Hello Shekhar, there are different tax rates for different income brackets. You can check for more information on iamexpat.nl (I also linked it out in the description box) Thanks for watching!

Hi, actually I am from Azerbaijan and I am going to study in Lithuania. Can I apply for a temporary residence permit (work) from the Lithuania ( I have also Residence Permit in Lithuania but my nationality is azerbaijani) Because I do not want to get Visa. When I have a residence permit in Lithuani I can easily travel to the Netherlands.

Awesome! Very insightful video! I have a Question I worked in Netherlands on HSM for one year in 2019. I had 30% rulling. Then I came back to India and worked here for 2 years. Now I am getting another job in NL on HSM in 2022. I want to know for how long will I get 30% ruling now. Will it be for remaining 4 years or just for 1 year? As my first 30% rulling started on Oct 2019.
@jessbamtefa Жыл бұрын
Hi! I *think" that the duration of the 30% ruling will be reduced by the period of your prior stay in the Netherlands. That means you should typically have it for 4 years since you only benefited for 1 year.

where do we check for the highly skilled jobs that are available for migrants...

I don’t know that there’s a specific place to find these jobs. However, I did a video recently on how to find jobs abroad so I believe that should help! Feel free to watch that video. All the best!

Hi thanks for the information. Can one switch jobs on 30% ruling and still continue to get the tax benefit with new employer ? if yes does one need to submit application again for 30% ruling while switching job ?
@jessbamtefa2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ankush! Thanks for watching! As as today- Yes, you can switch employers and continue the 30%-ruling on your new employer as long as the new employer is a recognised sponsor by the IND. However, you and your new employer will need to submit a new application for the 30%-ruling. Also note that the gap between your previous job and the new one cannot be more than 3 months. I hope this answers your questions! And don’t forget to subscribe to my channel if you’d like to see more content ☺️
