Better way to check for leaks is to put a pressure gauge on one vent, cap the others and put perhaps 10psi of air in it (don't need or want high pressure as if something blows it will be dangerous) Sit and wait 24 hours. If no leaks, the pressure will not drop. if it foes drop, start checking joints with soapy water - just like finding a leak on a tire.

I was told there was no way to attach any form of steel to Aluminum... Guess my source was wrong. Too bad they don't make a wire to do this with a MiG welder.

I have seen aluminum soldered to steel. There are vids out there. This is a stainless steel tank to galvanized steel fittings. I have flux core welded steel to stainless but, it does not provide a leak proof weld.

Tank capacity is way too small....you need at least 20 gallons for that size pump...

The tank size is correct for this application. I have run the splitter hard and recorded temps in the hydraulic circuit @ 130-135F which signifies NO excessive heat and long life.
