This trolley jack had seen better days and leaked oil so it was about time we sorted it out. It now lives again and is back in service. I was going to throw it out but i'm glad I restored it.
A pretty simple restoration and it will last for many years to come. #tool #restoration

I worked at Charlie Brown tyre and exhaust fast fit garage over 30 years ago!! We sold the exact same jack as this from the retail shop for around £8.99 so yes it most definitely could be over 30 years old! Great video thanks

I've got the exact same jack. It jacks up then drops very slowly. I suspected that the oil seals are going on the ram. After watching this video, that's all I'll be doing. I don't have a zinc or acid bath or any of the other cleansing and sealing baths. Yours looks fantastic though, I must admit. It looks like I'll be investing in an O ring kit. Thanks for sharing the video, great job by the way.

This is better than new. Zinc coating was cool to see, really lifts those parts up. Also the restored drill was put to use. You cannot stall that baby easily.

I would have been so tempted to paint it a strange colour, like pink or purple, then 'mates' who borrow it wouldn't forget to bring it back. It did need the front wheels doing the same as the back wheels, either way around.
