Have used the Thai medical system twice now and impressed with the service. In 2010, had a fainting episode in Udon which to this day remains unexplained. Hit my head on the sidewalk, ambulance arrived promptly and taken to hospital. Cat scan within about 15 minutes, kept overnight in a semi-private room. Great breakfast, my Thai family members could stay with me. 95% of the cost covered by my credit cards or work coverage at the time. Released next day and no recurrence.

The different types of insurance and terms should be detailed. Some travel insurance covers for 70 days max in one country/Most require proper licenses, safety gear, and addition to general travel insurance for motorbike coverage. Medical, Health Insurance for foreigners some premiums are paid in full for year. Personal Accident Insurance/Life insurance may serve some of your short term needs. Motorbike insurance 3 classes 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Mine 1st class covers, third party liability, physical damage, fire, theft, additional coverage death, dismemberment, medical expenses rider and passenger.
