Filipinos are very welcoming people especially to foreigners , women specifically prefer white foreign nationals than the local men, that’s the truth. But when we go visit their country specifically in America and Europe they are not as nice, they are so unkind. They have a different attitude towards us. Sad but that’s the reality we have to face.

30 years of living in the Philippines and still love it there, while most Filipinos want to get out. If we could only see the Philippines in the eyes of these foreigners, I think many Filipinos who have migrated and have earned enough pension would want to go back home and reconnect with the motherland. Still, it needs a lot of courage and wisdom to leave a life of convenience and go back to a simple yet inconvenient life we were used to as a former Filipino. Your father saw those things that we Filipinos tend to ignore. I’m one of those looking at Philippines right now in your father’s point of view.

Hello, new subscriber from California👋🏼 I happen to come across your channel and enjoyed watching this really insightful interview. I appreciated hearing your father’s life experiences, reflections and wise advise. Living in this time, with so many people immigrating to other countries, it’s important to hear that you should adapt to the new country you’re in, to be respectful, to observe without judgement, to learn the culture, customs. Also, if you immigrate to another country I think it’s important that one learns the language and doesn’t try to change the culture but rather accept and assimilate. You seem to have great parents, I wish you shared a photo of your mom and dad from 30 years ago😉 God bless them and may they enjoy many more years together.

Even without introducing himself, I can guess he is French by his accent. 😊 J’adore ! Trente ans aux Philippines ? Ça fait plaisir d'entendre qu'un français a pu vivre ça aussi longtemps. You’re father is right with the watch. Everyone is in a rush here in France so les gens sont trop stressés. Bonjour from Paris! 😊 Now I’m more inclined to retire in my home country the Philippines.

He did his best with English 😅 thank you for your wonderful comment! I would agree. I saw life in Paris back when we visited in 2017 and it looked very hectic and everyone was in a rush 😅 but aside from that, Paris is very beautiful! Best of luck on your retirement and hope you live the best life both in Paris at the moment and here in the Philippines soon 🙌🏻❤️

I have been considering making the Philippines my retirement home. You mentioned that France has changed the past 30 to 40 years. I can tell you the same has happened in the United States. I'm ready to live in another country and I like the fact there are many English speaking Filipino's.

That’s a great choice to make Daniel. Indeed, most first world countries have evolved into a stressful environment. We are sure you’ll love it here. We recommend you visit some popular islands and then decide where to build a home as each island have their own beauty and charm 🙌🏻❤️

I enjoyed watching the video , especially when your Dad started speaking french Dad . Although I do not speak language , I like the sound of it .The French language is a beautiful language . Do you have an experience to leave in France . My impression is that French people are lay back people .While I was in France , I watched them laughing and talking while strolling in the avenues . Dined in a side walk restaurant eating delicious foods and sipping wine . But my impression of a french people is not what I thought and your Dad said , that French people have a very hectic life .

Hi Manuel! Glad you enjoyed the video! Thank you for the compliments ❤️🙌🏻 I never tried living in France although my last visit there was just for a week before heading back to Germany. You’re right, French are laid back and they enjoy sipping wine and have a great time but I think my father was generalizing mainly on the big cities where the stress of keeping up with expenses has taken over. Although you do still see the old french way of living in smaller towns. When you came to France, which city did you visit?

Hey mate, your Dad seems like a wonderful gentleman and a very humble and sensitive man. I am a similar age to your Dad and I can relate to his dreams of yester-year. You seem like a wonderful son and I can see many of your Dad’s personality traits in you, for example, your gentle mannerisms and sensitivity. I hope one day my dreams of owning my house and land will come true, albeit I am almost out of time. I also hope that one day my daughter, who is a similar age to you, will respect me as you clearly do your Dad. Thanks for a lovely video and story!
