2:45 I find it easier to play this section in a different way: *DOWN* DOWN-UP-DOWN-UP UP-*DOWN* DOWN-UP-DOWN-UP UP-*DOWN* DOWN-UP-DOWN-UP UP-*DOWN* DOWN-UP-DOWN-UP accenting the downstroke on the beat. (that first upstroke is not played on the beat) You can play that part ignoring the upstroke note to see it makes sense. Cheers!

To add one and make it 10, my #1 would be Skin O' My Teeth. Badass drum intro, killer main riff that plays throughout, and my favorite metal solo EVER!! This album is just flawless in every way (the original, not the remix which killed the vibe and made the drums all clean and boring). Here's to 30 years of metal perfection!

I remember reading about Dave's hand injury and thinking he was done for good. I think the relative simplicity of the riffs compared to earlier work was a direct result of that. It has great song writing with excellent lyrics and a great overall vibe. 2nd favorite album. Rust in Peace will always be king.
@frankusyoung41982 жыл бұрын
Countdown was 1992, Dave's injury was 2002 😳
@supernothing772 жыл бұрын
Yeah his injury was much later. He intentionally wrote less progressive stuff. Accessible thrash for the mainstream yet still thrash and sounding like Megadeth. Kind of their Black Album, but less of a drastic change like Metallica

Dude what an awesome video. RIP gets more praise, but for me, it was Countdown in the begining, and…still is. Double (triple, or 1000X) points for doing it with the drums. The message at the end…I support it wholeheartedly. Thank you!!!!!!
