WTF? Black Album doesn't even compare to Youthanasia. Every song from Youthanasia is memorable and HEAVY AF whereas the Black Album was mostly a bunch of songs that were totally forgettable plus a few played-out radio hits. I would rather listen to Load (which is actually very underrated) than the Black Album.

@@melchior2678 lol you're nuts. Black albums deep cuts are the best partof it. Through the Never, Of Wolf and Man, God that Failed, Misery, Struggle within. The opposite of forgettable.

I was anointed into metal in 87 with Peace Sells which I bought because of the cover but this one definitely is underrated & never got the props it deserved. Not a bad song indeed. 08:22 The Killing Road riff also sounds like a riff from a Havok song called "Intention to Decieve" (obviously, it was there before Havok, but thought it was worth mentioning). Anyway, great video, Youthanasia is my favorite non-thrash albums by Megadeth! Been meaning to learn some more songs off the album, so I might pick some up! Thanks Uncle Ben!

Thanks for showcasing the epic pre-chorus riff on ‘Train of Consequences’ - super crunch meets melodic metalriffic. Just stellar. 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼 keep up the good work brother!

I've always been a champion for promoting this album as Megadeth's best album so far. Not as fast or heavy as other, but man, every song just grabs you and takes you to another place. Best Megadeth Album ever...

I also love this album! Very melodic, amazing riffs, Dave's vocals and the lyrics...all top notch. It has more groove going on! Thanks for this lesson Ben, I've always been too lazy to learn this stuff!

Lost? Yeah, this one launched them from being one of my favorites to possibly my number one for at least three years. Flawless songwriting, pristine production, and just good vibes(for a struggling teenager anyway) all the way through. The music is as colorful as the album cover.

Youthanasia has been my favorite Megadeth album since it's release when I was in Middle School. Nothing has changed except the lyrics mean so much more to me now that I've lived some life.

This has always been my favorite Megadeth album. Dave writes such good songs, I hate seeing that go by the wayside in his more recent quests to be as heavy as possible.

I'm an amateur drummer since 1982ish and I LOVE the riffs on this record! Such killer groove, and rhythm, and fun! Great job, Ben, KILLER job as always!

I remember when my uncle introduced me to that record: He said “this is the best metal album of the nineties” It was in ‘95 or ‘96 and i’ve been a megadeth fan ever since. A few years later it turned out he just might have been right🤔 Love the cover to. Pink slippers! Agree on the killing road riff - a masterpiece intro/ verse build-up riff💪

Nah. Not even close. It’s a rock/metal album. Death and black metal bands had infinitely better records in the 90s.

Oh yes, I just recently came back to this album after a good while. There really isn't a weak link on the album, just a lot of good ol' simple but effective s o n g s. They ain't technical, they ain't complicated, but my gawd are they good.

Thanks for covering this album. I agree it's one of the more overlooked Megadeth albums and its always a pleasure to play these songs.
