Second guitar part on Thriller isn't actually a guitar, it's a synth line. Anthony Marinelli has a YT video showing all of the synth work on Thriller and he talks about that specific line.

Fans aren't expecting a live performance to sound like a studio recording. The band doesn't play together when its recorded in studio and they certainly don't do it all in one take...why would it sound the same?

Say what you will about the documentary and St. Anger, but if it weren't for them, Metallica would be history.

Ive ALWAYS loved that white JEM Ibanez! I have a custon JEM style, Purpleheart/Mahagony wood layered body, with a prestige neck. Ever since I played the white one you got, in the guitar center "show room", Ive always wanted it! Cool to see you got one! It rocks! 👏🏼🥳👏🏼

You're analyzing James Shitfield, lead guitar of Shitallica. Now do it again with the real James, in real Metallica videos

Peter drumming is mostly jazz based. that why many people throws shades at the guy.

Ringo might not have a fancy 10 piece drum set but I love his style of playing

What settings are you using for that riff? Please and thank you!👍🏻
@hypersf5 сағат бұрын
32:27 actually there's no inside picking in this riff, it starts with an upstroke so A power chords played with an upstroke and e string played with downstroke

Sounds like a jazz version. lol - Admittedly, it seems as I've played it wrong for years. Thanks!!

I used to watch the Osmonds show as a kid and I remember when the brothers came on and did Crazy Horses. It was a blast.

Isn't it bad for a guitar to leave it leaning against the wall like the guitar behind you?

There's another video of this band playing this song again at the same gig. The "lead guitarist," who has changed shirts, is clearly seen to be *pretending* to play before and after his "solo," which he quickly abandons. His hands are all over the fretboard but nothing comes out, though he provides flourishes and other stage mannerisms like hitting the crash cymbal with his guitar headstock and putting his foot up on the monitor to play his "solo." This vid shows him much less but the result is the same. That rhythm player is on his own. I appreciate the entertainment value of these performances but, having been in bands for 50 years, I feel embarrassed for them, maybe more than they do. Young bands starting out should regard this a cautionary tale.

This is goofy. If you spend a day working the beets I would bet any good amateur drummer that plays shuffles could play them very well.

There is a old saying 'rob peter to pay paul'. Kiss did that for real and on the regular lol. seriously, Peter was a great drummer. You dont have to be a prodigy to be great. He proved it.

My first hearing of Crazy Horses - I didn't even know that's what it was - was sampled in the track Def Con One by Pop Will Eat Itself. Then, late one Saturday night in somebody's house, probably around 1991, in the background on TV we hear the distinctive "WAAAAAAAAH! WAAAAAAAAH!". We all stopped talking and turned to the TV. Could not believe what we were seeing/hearing!

Never heard their albums. Donny said once on an interview that when he was told he was gonna be doing this new show 'Donny and Marie', he said to himself, " well, there goes my rock career". He is still singing and i believe writing original music and best of all still has a great voice!! You should do a segment on what he is doing today. Thanks for the video, gonna definitely check out the album Crazy Horse.
