I am thoroughly impressed with the meticulousness in the scope of your builds and rebuilds it nice to see someone go the extra mile to give your machines the respect and care they deserve. I have several machines I intend to do the same with. the compressor would be nice around the farm but I think it's cool how you're paying it forward. keep up the great work

Ford 2009 Frontline. Used to be a satellite van for a local News station. Every part was removed (hydraulic antennae mast, electronics and hydraulic system, etc) and recycled for remote landscaping work around my land. I built an exaggerated remote telescoping chainsaw, using the built in Sat Camera PTZ armature mounted on the end of the mast. I could use the compressor for my wife’s crafts events. I gave tge van to my wife to store all her craft tools and supplies when ever she goes to fairs, swap meats, and children’s events. She airbrushes shirts, canvas, and kids for animal faces. This way she doesn’t have to unload her car for the events and work. She’ll have a dedicated vehicle for her events.

I have a 2014 GMC Sierra and I have been planning on getting an air compressor installed in my tool box for a few months now. I plan on having it mounted inside with power an air inlet in the base of the box and then route the lines and a switch to bulkhead fittings on the front of the box. I ride mountain bikes a lot so having quick access to unlimited air by pulling a small tube that I could keep in the door of the truck and pump all my tires up without hand pumping is the dream!

Thanks for sharing Burt. I think I would use the compressor on my RV. It would be very handy for like you said to air up inflatables and to help others who could possibly need help in our travels. We are in Canada and will have no problems working out logistics. Can't wait for your next piece of equipment to restore, I have watched the lathe series twice already :) Cheers for now

The compressor would be a great addition to my 04 Nissan Xterra. On board for tires of course but also we do a lot camping this would work great for our air mattresses. Thanks for the opportunity and good work on the transit.

Been looking at the same company for adding a compressor to my 2005 Motorhome to ensure my air springs stay inflated. This will keep the frame square and prevent any more windshield problems. Keep the videos coming, we enjoy them.

Great videos. I'm currently converting my 2018 Ford Transit and your seat installation video has been very helpful. Thanks! That's a great compressor you are giving away and it would really come in handy on my whitewater rafting/kayaking and biking trips.

Great video. Been enjoying your content. The compressor would make a great addition to my truck to air up my downed tires when leaving the beach. My kids would be much happier if we didn't have to wait on the long compressor line when it's time to leave.

Cool project, nice to see the whole family get involved. I'm going to have to go back and watch the last video. Not sure how I missed it. Hope you find a good home for the compressor, it's cool of you to give it away.

Anyone interested in the compressor should know it is marketed by a Australian company with a reputation for supplying kickass gear for offroad use. This is a quality product that will last. Sadly my offroad days are behind me. Cheers from Oztralia Eric

Best thing for those bigger holes on sheet metal is a step drill. will not leave triangular holes. By the way i am rebuilding a pond in my backyard and needed to buy an air pump to oxygenate the water, this one is something i never thought about as it is 12v i can hook it up to the solar panel that will run the water pump. You just gave me a good idea. If i am not eligible to win it at least i got something positive out of it. Great work on that lathe by the way. Been following. Thanks

I have a jeep wrangler I could really use the compressor for. I plan to get an arb air locker for it and will need a good air supply and I could also air up the tires when I take it up in the Rockies. Love the rockwell lathe videos too keep them coming

Nice project, like the detail. Had a good chuckle and Wondering how your going to handle the birds nest on the lathe... Isn't it amazing on what Amazon does like that ....

Yeah it surprised me that they would very easily just give it to me and I didn't even get upset with the rep on chat when I asked for the one that I ordered. I even asked for a return shipping label and she said no need. I figure if they do lay eggs I'll let them stay until the little one can fly.....

I want to say that I have really been enjoying your videos for awhile now. I missed the first van video, so I’ll be looking to that one too! I have a 2002 F-350 with 380k miles on it. I love my old truck. I would love to put a compressor on it and be able to add air bag suspensions. Also it would be great for airing up my tires or any strangers tires that may need a hand, or for just airing up those inter tubes while camping in Michigan. Love the videos. Keep it up!

Hello Burton :) Really nice Craftsmanship. Awesome dream workshop by the way. I have a 2018 Transit 350 extended high top with Ecoboost (love the boost part, only way to go) Very slowly converting it. So far I installed a horizontal Murphy bed, its about 14"s from the sidewall when stowed up and have a Goal Zero 1400 Im trying out. Like that you showed the harness reroute, was thinking of getting a Deutsch connector incase the harness with its connectors would not run back through a particular tight spot in the wall. Compressor is on my list for airing up tires on my van, bicycle and pressuring up a future water tank.
@BurtonsAttic4 жыл бұрын
The harness worked out fine for me. If you do it make sure that you insulate it well and protect from chaffing. Remember mine is a medium roof not a high roof, but you can check the length with it out of the channel before committing to it. You may have more room then I did to reroute. Been happy with the 3.7L, I drive easy and the torque is great. Rarely do I hammer it. I think people are surprised when I get on the highway as I merge and pull away. There expecting slow...Thanks for commenting Dan.

I have a 2016 Mazda 3. I'd love the compressor to both be a safety net for flat tires and for inflating various items for my children and their friends. I had a similar one the just failed so I am definitely in need of a replacement! Thanks for the opportunity.

Great video on interior mod of new van. Cutting a big hole in a new one makes you think many things before you do that. I also have a Rockwell Mill, Model 21-100. Mine doesn't look that good. I would use the air compressor on a new to us RV, 30yrs old with only 015055 miles. Plan is to use it for camping and hunting trips. Also for airing granddaughters quad and dirt bike tires. My plan would be to install a reservior tank for air storgage.

Super nice work on the custom wood cutting. Skills my man! I’d throw that compressor in my 2002 Toyota Tacoma (176,000 miles and going strong) when I load up the 3 motorcycles in the back to head to the trails. Love to say we never have need of a compressor, but many a-time pushing bikes all the way back to the truck only to have a small Slime compressor - it’s just an extra kick in the... :)

I would be appreciative if I 'won' the compressor. We have a 2009 F-150 Super Crew which we use to travel with our dog. I'd mount the compressor in the truck for anything from tires to float tubes to an air horn! Happy to pick-up or pay shipping. I am a 75 year old retired veteran and my wife is a retired math teacher. :-)

Would love to have that compressor! I have a 2003 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 (with over 400K miles! Go Toyota!). I love heading being out in nature, go off roading, camping at the river, and up to the mountains. I have a bike pump that I use to pump up everything from trailer tires, air mattresses, as well as water floats and beach balls and sometimes even an inflatable kiddie pool for the dogs. With a good high output compressor, I could spend less time inflating things and more time enjoying nature. By the way, I stopped in to watch your van build, and am one of your latest subscribers now! Great presentation style, I can't wait for your next video.

I’ve been wanting one of those! I have a 09 suburban that I use to tow my travel trailer and airing up and down from towing air pressure to non-towing pressure is tricky. With a unit that nice I could add the airbags to the suburban that I’ve been drooling over! Either way keep up the good videos!

I have a 2010 GMC Savana Cargo van that I've turned into a camper van, a compressor such as the ARB would be a nice replacement for my old 12 volt no name compressor that randomly kept seizing up while airing up my tire after discovering one brisk morning that I had a slow leak, as luck would have it another camper came by that did have a decent air compressor and I aired up ( and was saved the effort of putting the spare on, many thanks to the kind stranger ) and went into the nearest town and had the tire patched. It was, oddly enough, a tiny piece of sagebrush that caused the leak and the drama.

You must take days making all this stuff ...and filming it. Question: Is that blue table top stainless?
@BurtonsAttic4 жыл бұрын
I does take more time to film/edit it all! It's a 4x8 1/4 steel plate that's been buffed with a large grinder type scotch brite wheel. Then Johnsons paste wax to seal it. I usually spot clean and wax it annually to keep it from rusting. Thanks for reminding me- it's due.

Can I try to win it. I have 2006 Dodge Sprinter 2500 , that I turned into a handicapped model. Even built n fabricated a power door opener for the side sliding door. Remote control open n close with a heavy duty wheelchair lift. . When I looked into buying one of even the lift it was super expensive. But eBay had one new scratch n rent won it with shipping under $400. Built the closer opener for about the same. . Not bad for a cripple in a chair and only SSDisability income. The shop told me to covert it would be twenty grand minimum. Yes I'm a machinist who can do anything.
