I went Aero build 10.5 " with an EoTech, Maxim CCS Brace, Radion Raptor CH Handle, JP Silent Capture Spring Buffer, got a little Crimson Trace light on there with a pressure switch and a Thunder Chicken Suppressor. I still want an adjustable gas block, probably gonna go with the Strike Industries Adjustable Collar. Thanks for the Video 😎

I missed how long your setup is. My OAL is 35.5 inches with the Rosco 8.2-inch barrel and a full sized 10-inch CAN. The suppressor really works as it is hearing safe indoors. An Aero upper and lower with pistol length gas works with supers and subs w/o any issues. I call my 300, purpose built, as it pretty much stays in home defense ready mode. I don't hunt anymore, but I like the idea that it can engage targets out to 100 yards. I've loaded 110, 125, 150, 210, and 220 grain projectiles w/o issue.

@@AlphaTactics Interesting, I have to run a flash can as the barrel is an inch shorter than the handguard. Even so, I'm 28.5 inches in that configuration, using SBA3 Brace. These short barrels are almost rifle length with the various CANS.
@evanacey14142 ай бұрын
Due to how you prefer to manipulate your safety I would highly recommend you give one with a shorter throw a try.. The Radian Talon is a 45° throw, which is among the shortest on the market but it has been known to have some compatibility issues with a couple aftermarket triggers (not necessarily fitment wise, but in terms of its safety). Personally, I prefer ambi safety’s with a 60° throw and with a slightly shorter throw lever on the right side so it doesn’t contact my trigger finger when in the “fire” position. I run a Fortis SLS on my .300BLK and an ASF-60-Q from Forward Controls Design on my main squeeze 12.5” middy 5.56 blaster, both of which I highly recommend. They are just so much faster and easier to return back to “safe” with a short throw and abbreviated lever when you can just use the first knuckle on your index finger and kind of pull your hand slightly rearward. It doesn’t require you to use your finger at all, really.. Mainly just your hand. Anyway, there’s my 2 cents. Keep the change, you filthy animal.

Just something to think about.

I would personally never run a holographic for home defense. Something you keep bedside to protect your life with ABSOLOUTLY needs to be ready to grab and go. Not having to press buttons under adrenaline to turn on your optic, optic needs to be on while bedside so I'd rather pick an aimpoint. Thats just my personal opinion.

For home defense, A red dot is pretty useless. Red dots are usually good for long distance shooting. And in a court of law are you going to have a hard time explaining why you shooting at somebody anywhere Beyond 15 or 20 yards. Court system recognize a person is no longer a threat any further than that. Nine times out of ten it's going to be close quarters combat within the house. And outside in the yard it gets even more sketchy in the court of law. If you ever seen or been in a situation where weapons are used that usually goes really fast. The last thing you have time to do is get your eye lined up thru a red dot. Its usually up to the shoulder and firing really fast. Usually red dots are good for hunting and range work. I never recommended it for self-defense handguns or rifles
@AlphaTactics Жыл бұрын
I would never say use a red dot for long distance shooting. Usually would stick to scopes for that. Dots are very fast and useful for short distance. If it takes you a while to get lined up with a dot, you need to train more. Thank you for the comment!

I disagree with you. Red dots is 5 times faster to line up with your target. At night time you cant see your irons if you dont have a light on.
@BabyMachine Жыл бұрын
What a shit take. lol Red dots were literally designed to acquire faster than irons. Your point about threats past 15-20 yards also makes no sense, if someone has a gun pointed at you, they're a threat no matter how far. On top of that, since you said engagements are very fast and close, you'd realistically just shoulder the rifle/pistol and fire. No need to aim that close. Edit: Just to be a douchebag, that's not even a red dot. Its a holographic optic. lmao
