There are plenty of expensive football boots out there, but almost all of them come from brands that you know and expect them from. So when a brand like Umbro comes out with a new pair of football boots and asks $300 for them, you might be wondering, are they worth it? At all? Are they out of their minds?
In today's video we take a closer look at the new Umbro Tocco 3 Pro, boots that I like in a lot of ways, and are definitely a huge improvement over the previous model, but for $300, can they be justified over more popular and cheaper leather boot options? I go over the good, the bad and the ugly, ultimately concluding whether or not you should be considering Umbro football boots in 2023.

Dyneema is a popular material with ul tents, backpacks etc. My guess is that it is used here to support the leather by not allowing it to overly stretch. And yes... everything with dyneema = $$$$$

Showing my age here, but as a 90s kid the boots we all wanted were Umbro Speciali Its what Micky Owen and Shearer wore. Looking at the '98 re issues from 2015 they look like they are made in the same factory as Diadora. (see stud pattern etc) I wouldnt be surprised if these Toccos arent Diadora or worse... Lotto factory! - anyone else have any views on OEM boots? Its been years since ive owned any Umbros. Ironically I have recently bought some Diadora Brasils and found them to be pretty nice. like a softer Mizuno Morelia korean factory thing.

Umbro made some great kits for my boyhood team. So I do have some sentimental feeling for Umbro as a yeah… Umbro has completely lost their mind. $300 MSRP is outrageous for these, that’s Mizuno MIJ territory there. I winced every time Josh mentioned these are worth $300.

Hey Joma, Any chance you could review the "Kispta Traxium Compressor?" They are a fully thermally bonded laceless boot and are said to have an "indestructible" soleplate, even offering a 10year warranty on the soles 😂.... Literally... no cap😂🧢 Not sure if they are available in 🇨🇦 as they are UK based, but they go for £110 over here. 🇬🇧 Would definitely make an interesting review & would like to see your thoughts on them 🤔??

Thanks for the review👍 however there is one thing I don't get - you mentioned that overall fit in Tocco 3 is a massive improvement over Tocco 2. Are you sure you that it shouldn't be about Tocco 1? I watched both your films (regarding Tocco 1&2) and you complained much more about first model (and second was actually pretty good). I'm thinking about buying Tocco 2 Pro Ag (sale for 90€).

Why Umbro, why? You use to make such nice leather boots. That's a bad colour way for a boot and no one is going to pay that much when there are so many another choices for less. I've always like Umbro and wanted to get another pair for outdoors but there is no way I'd buy this one. Your only hurting yourself Umbro.
