@@MikeTytula hey mike, i have a question. Im realy struggeling to choose which dartfrog to get, i kept tinc azureus in the past. I have a 24x18x24 exo terra, personaly i think the ranitomeya species will utalize the most space as my tincs didnt climb often. Im just wondering if there is any difference with how active they are compared to auratus or tinctorious. I realy like the idea of having a group rather then only 2 tinctorious so i probaly will choose between auratus or ranitomeya.

I think this is what many of us who got in to keeping exotics naturally had in mind as the ultimate goal even for small enclosures but it's next level and skill I doubt I'll ever get to 👏

Over the next few videos on his other tanks, could you include a brief part of him describing his water circulation system for this tank? The overall consensus is that reusing drainage water should not be done, but it looks like he has a good system going. Its also known that even the smallest of particles are enough to clog misting systems, however I do not know if the same can be said for foggers. Great video, thanks!

I have an issue.... In one of my vivariums my isopods are beginning to eat some of the plants. (fittonia white and red veins, and just recent started on my ficus pumila). I have some leaf litter (oak leaves), but they seem more interested in the plants. How can i stop this? Any advice? Should I add more leaf litter, or do I need a supplement? Maybe my substrate. For this one i used beaked moss instead of sphagnum? My other vivariums are doing great, but this one I need advice. Plants are also growing significantly slower in this one.
@MikeTytula2 жыл бұрын
Ya I would start adding food for the isopods, like fish food, those dried out fish, etc.
@garywinthrob31602 жыл бұрын
Anything other than dwarf white/purple isopods will destroy your tank. They will destroy cork bark, plants, leaf litter, everything they can get their hands on.
@taphazoj42 жыл бұрын
With such high humidity how do some of those orchid roots not rot?
@MikeTytula2 жыл бұрын
Because it's high humidity, not saturation. The orchid leaves and roots are able to dry out after a misting or heavy fogging, but remain in a humid environment.

You betcha! You can always look for someone local to your area that makes enclosures. Chances are there is someone that would be willing to do it, it will likely be more expensive than if you built it yourself, but if you dont own many power tools then it would be cheaper to pay someone to make it, than to go out and buy all the tools required to do it.
