The rear D Sport is one of the best dual sport tires out right now, compared to the D606 it’s clearly a copy of it’s better on road and indistinguishable off road. The front isn’t so good, but pair it with an MT21 and you just saved $70 on the quintessential dual sport combo.

Thanks for the review. I'm sold on trying the rear on my 500.

The front tire is wedged like that because you are not using enough rear brake on the road. If you use to much front break and not enough rear break on pavement this will happen to your front tire. Give it a try. Nice review on the tires. Just ordered some today

I'll give it a try. Thank you. I almost have 4,000 miles now. I'll have to try it on my next set.

Thanks for the great review. I’m putting a set on my klr650 soon. My dad put Bridgestones on the bike when he had it, they’re killer street tires (I’ve dragged foot peg a few times with them) but they’re uninspiring at best off road in my opinion. Looking forward to better dirt performance.

When you get them on and have some miles on them I would like to hear if you found better dirt performance over the Bridgestone. Thanks for watching.

Hi Chad, I run a Dsport on the back too, but run a Motoz Tractionator Fatty on the front for FL sugarsand. The F’s fork seals are already blown? You going to add some dust covers when you replace the seals? Drew

I’ll look into the Motoz Tractionator Fatty when I purchase new rubber. I’m needing more of an enduro style DOT tire for my riding style. Yes, fork seals blown. The bike has 4,800 miles. Good mileage or too soon to be needing to replace the seals IDK 🤷♂️. I will definitely run some dust covers when I reseal the forks.

Have you had your CRF450L in the FL sugarsand yet. I’ll bet that bike is a riot in the sand.

@@Rally_ADVentures I haven’t ridden the 450L other than testing it & a quick ride around the neighborhood. I dropped it & the WR250R off to WMR which is a top notch shop for a complete run through. Looking forward to blasting it around though.

@@drmayerr cool. I am looking forward to hearing about your thoughts on the 450L after you put some time on it.

Thanks for the review! I run these tires on my 250l and have the same wear pattern with my front tire! I think those sharp edges are causing the front to be even more unstable. I may try something else, but for the most part, the Dsport tires are too good of a deal to pass up!

I am thinking the same thing. The price point and value is very appealing. a few hundred miles ago, I reversed the rotation of my front tire and it is even more loose. Maybe its enhanced by the wear pattern? I am curious how a brand new Dsprot front would handle in reverse rotaion? I now have 3,700 mile on them. I'm thinking new rubber at 4,000 miles.

Yeah, they are worn out. I’m a few hundred away from 4000 miles now. I went out two weeks ago up a gnarly single track trail that gets up to 10,000 feet elevation. I thought it may be a challenge with the bald tires, but they did great.
