I'm now intrigued to sample "Orangerie Venise". I want to see what that buchu is like. An example of a masculine rose fragrance which I like is Amouage "Imitation Man", although I forget if the rose in it is very prominent or not.

The Perfume Guy (Sebastian) buys many of his fragrances and yes, he is also gifted fragrances. He’s pretty much GOAT and deservedly so - unlike most “reviewers”, he truly knows the notes/accords, the house history, the perfumers, and nuances in between. Regardless of whether he has purchased them or they’re gifted, he will say if it’s awful and/or worth it. I recall one recently where he even said one (a Sospiro, I think) smelled like poop and not in an artistic complimentary way.

Lovely to see you! It sounds like the course was a very worthwhile exercise. Congrats on completing it and for the realisations. :) I’m loving that so many brands are coming out with smaller formats now And congrats to your boy on his recent achievements! ❤

Your necklace is so pretty and elegant Kikki! Great video! I am going to check out Rose Magnetic! I yhink I might purchase the Essential Parfums sample kit. I love a lot of Maya Njie fragrances…beautiful and interesting. Les Fleurs is stunning xxxx
@thehonestperfumereviewer633612 күн бұрын
Thank you. The sample kit is really affordable and most of the fragrances are easy-wears. I personally wouldn't wear Bois Impériale, but the rest. Divine Vanille wasn't my favorite vanilla, but interesting. I really liked Tropica from Maya Njie, might try to try that again this weekend. Will see if I can try Les Fleurs, too! Thank you for the tip!

I don’t understand what you thought coaching was going to look like / entail
@thehonestperfumereviewer633612 күн бұрын
I see. Will try to clarify. What I didn't realise was how much energy and presence it takes and this makes it difficult to coach more than once a day, but of course that could be a beginner's thing. It is 90 percent listening and not just with your ears but with all your senses. You also need to to believe in your client's potential and that they are capable of things way beyond what they have accomplished so far. I struggled a little with this. I found it really hard to not talk about myself at all and not give any advice. I think I didn't enjoy it as much as I would! I really appreciate being coached, but don't want to work fulltime with it. For my personal development it has been a great course, though. I have learned how to step back in my relationships with others and listen more, not thinking I know the answer etc. Just giving others more space. Asking open questions etc. Being curious about others in general.

I agree on smaller sizes. More often than not I want to get a travel or small size, and if I get through that and love it, I'll usually buy a full bottle. But if a brand only sells 100ml, I'll possibly never make a purchase at all. Its in brands future interest to make smaller sizes I think

Great to see you again on KZbin :) I also have a ticket for Saturday, but if I go, I have to bring my 3-year old with me, so I am quite hesitant to take the risks it would entail.. I really really would like to smell the 4160 Tuesdays line though.

I have a totally different experience with Indigo Tanzanite than you. I have a full bottle and it’s so strong and long lasting. It lasts many hours and it won’t even scrub off if you try! Sometimes I find a difference in spraying from a sample than a bottle.

@@tigeygirl Interesting! My juice comes from someone's bottle actually. Maybe we just have different skin types? I have heard from several others that this one wears off really quickly. But I will try again and see if it does better. I quite often see on Fragrantica that people have totally different opinions about a perfume's performance. Could it have something to do with anosmia, like a more subtle version of that perhaps? I cannot smell Baccarat Rouge 540 at all! Others find it really strong. Maybe half of the Indigo formula is unavailable to my nose. Thank you for commenting, I find these comments so interesting.
