My first car. My story. My mom bough me a White Pearl 1997 300gt for $2,5k as a Highschool graduation gift for me to go to college when I was 17. Back then (2009-2010) they were so underappreciated that you could find them as low at $2K -$5k. She returned it because it had an oil leak. I had 0 mechanical knowledge and didn't had any money either so there was nothing I could do. Now there price go from $20k - $40k. I loved it because It was Mitsubishi's contribution and response for the 90's JDM legends. They were rejected by the Japanese enthusiasts for a few reasons but mainly for being too heavy so after Mitsubishi discontinued them they became very underpriced because they didn't live up to the 90's legends hype. Now collectors love them because there are not many out there. Such an irony that what made them so cheap is what made them so expensive 20-30 years later and as time passes the more rare and expensive they will become because they are still pretty much unknown by many. I can say I had my but sited on what's going to become the most rare JDM Legend of the 90's after the R34. Pretty cool!

Dream car. My father had one, I think it was a 97, also white, he never had issues until the motor blew, sold it to a friend for $5k where he spent about $1k for a new motor and install, sold it for $6k after, and no real profit. It had these wheels with a slight curve in the spokes that I can’t even find in a Videogame. I’m hoping to own one in a couple years, try and find those wheels, and kinda revamp a lot of the mechanical issues it usually ended up having, if I can get an old vr4 then probably trying to re do a lot of the active aero. I wish it got more attention but it was/is a whale compared to others coming out at the time.

Massively underrated car. I'm a Skyline guy mainly, but those go for over £100k. I'd have one of these though. A Mitsubishi that isn't an Evo is always massively under appreciated.
