300ex Dg exhaust putting on and sound

Putting on my DG RCM 2 slip on that I ordered off of eBay for $160. They recommend you put a 130 main jet in at sea level and take your air box lid off. I put it on and felt power in the higher rpms and not so much in the lower, but I still need to rejet of course. The noise isn’t too bad but loud enough to have fun. The link to the exhaust is below:

Hey i noticed my engine sproket seeking when in motion. Maybe just lube it up? Also how tight should my chain be. I got the dg exhaust too. I love the sound XD.nice video

FREAK EVO the slack in the chain should be able to be free to move a half inch to an inch up and down, your sprocket may be a problem if it continues to bother you after you lube it

Garrett James thanks just put some chain lube on the engine sproket and it stopped the squeeking. Appreciate it. And the chain tightens like it should when i sit on it. Happy riding!

Yes but I will pay the $40 dollars to have it done by the pros. If I can ill take a pic or video and show you the amount of slack. I dont think its more than a half of a inch ill have to measure it. Its not hitting the chain guard. I just took it through the trails and noticed after I got off that maybe it got lose. I had not checked it as the owner before me put a new chain on it.

I went with this Dg at the time cause it was the most inexpensive, got it for $185 shipped off of eBay but it’s been several years since. Fmf, hmf and big gun slip ons were the other more prominent options. I ended up getting my hands on a 250x I put an HMF pipe on it (pretty similar to 300ex as you may know; revs a little higher and has a shorter stroke), I have two videos of it on my channel. It sounded just about the same. It’s all subjective and they’re all going to sound similar in my opinion.

I did. I also had a k&n 350x air filter. Can’t remember what I jetted it to but the main was 135.
