I hunt with a 300 short mag but I gotta agree with you on how awesome the 270 is. It’s got plenty of power, shoots flat, and is easy on the shoulder. IMO the 270 is the most underrated cartridge today

Nathan Grant has a .270 wsm He shot 3 times at an empty coke can. The bullets were moving so fast that they past clean through the can without even moving it. At first he was furious thinking that he was missing. But he hit it 3 times and didn't even move it. That's fast!

I watched every shot and you hit the left side of each target. You might adjust your scope about 2 clicks to the right to hit dead center. I love the 300 WSM. , it's an awesome round with that 180 grain bullet. Some serious knock down power !

My son got a 300 WSM for Christmas. We sighted it in today and then shot some steel. I don’t know what kind of steel it is for sure, but know it came off a military vehicle. It is 1/4” thick and the 150 grain Federal Fusion 300 WSM went through it at 90 yards. Kiddo loves watching your videos and is requesting more with the 300 WSM, maybe clay blocks? If you have done that one I can’t find it.

I have a Browning a bolt Medallion in 300 wsm with Boss, I love the caliber and I have used all of the others, but this one is my favorite, 165gr bullet is the most accurate I've shot in it, I have taken many whitetail deer with it, it's just fun to shoot. I'm still a 7mm remington magnum fan but the 300 has my heart.

24 zooms is hard to hold steady off hand. Try lower magnification when shooting off hand. 6-8x seems to work best for me out to 100yds.

I have not shot a .300 wsm. I have shot a 300SAUM. The rifle is a Remington 673 guide gun. Great rifle with recoil comparable to 30-06. Very mild and easy to shoot. Always wanted to try a wsm. Thanks for the great video’s.

Great vid! Enjoyed watching it. Got an idea for you. Challenge your buddy to a 100 yard shoot. Set up 5 Dixie cups filled with flour. Shoot the same rifle (maybe a .308) with the same 5 rounds. See who hits them all or who hits most in the kneeling or prone position free hand (no vise). Scope or iron sight, you two have to use the same. Always great seeing you have a great time shooting. 👍🏽🇺🇸

I had a Black Shadow in 300 WSM and it had the light weight composite stock. It was one of the only guns I ever had that was uncomfortable for me to shoot, and I like stout recoil, but that was a tad on the wrong side of that with the lightweight stock. My hunting days were over by that time. Looking forward to moving back to the flatlands just because hunting will be easier back there. I'll stick with my 30-06 for that though. Just didn't care for my WSM.

My dad shoots these small SC whitetail with .300wsm at pretty close range. 200 yard max and they usually run 10 yards max. I’ve shot it, its accurate but i don’t enjoy shooting it at all. The recoil is overhyped but still substantial and the recoil speed is very fast. It would probably be amazing for long range deer or black bear though. Its a fine chambering. Lot of horsepower for a .30 cal

Shooting 100 yard targets freehanded with your scope set on 24 zoomies is a very tough thing to do. I would have to drop down to at least 8-10 zoomies . At 24 zoomies just your heartbeat would move your point of aim probably 2-3 inches. Another “fun” video. Thanks again.
