yeah he is pushing his self hard, but i think that this kind of stress (if i can call it like that) doesn´t harm you, it keeps alive, makes your brain and your body work, I have the fortune to be a rancher and a have a job at the city and the best part of the week is when I go to work at the ranch
@scottbeaulieu136 жыл бұрын
Dario Corral ya but when you go to the ranch are you wasting your time and money plowing multiple times a day while getting zero done on the actual house you’re supposed to be going there for? He’s not even getting anything done at the house but emptying fuel cans into the multiple trucks and excavator and clearing snow. That’s a lot of stress and blown money to have no progress even being made other than a clear driveway to a house no one lives in...

I moved from a bustling, busy, crowded subdivision, city life over 30 years ago to 23 acres just outside the city. Considered it an adventure at the time, which was a low point in my life of 68 years. There were times during my adventure when I got really tired of the struggle but I soon recovered and continued on. All in all, I have never regretted my decision even at my age and health issues I’m continuing to improve the property, although not at the same pace. Other than family, I’ve never felt such fulfillment in my life. I enjoy your channel so much I look forward to every video. I was diagnosed with UC a couple of years ago. I had about 8 months of symptoms before I finally saw a Dr and got diagnosed. He put me on some very expensive meds that didn’t really seem to work. After a divorce and changing insurance it got even more expensive. I sought a second opinion from a friend who is also an endocrinologist and her suggestion was to stop eating gluten. She was actually adamant about it. It took me a week to finally do it, but when I did everything cleared up literally in two days. Just something to consider. YMMV. Good luck man. Love your videos.

I was picturing a mount to attach an engine to your new snowblower, making it a self contained unit, that you could pick up with your excavator and blow snow from the big machine going forward. Probably would have to make some kind of adaptor for the front bucket, to keep it rigid.

Great purchase with the snowblower. Hope you plan to clean it up and maybe a paint job so it looks nice. Have you ever tried any kind of fasting. I guarantee you that will heal your gut over time. Start with one day a week water fasts or dry fast. First address your diet though. It needs cleaning up before attempting a proper fast. Zero alcohol. Zero meat. Concentrate on fruits and light salads. No kale or broccoli and that heavy stuff. Do that for a month or 2 then start doing a couple water fasts each month. You will start seeing great results. I guarantee that.

I keep forgetting to mention it but, wood ash from your stove works great for getting unstuck with your pickup. Shovel in front or back and spread it in the direction you want to go. Or both sides in case you have to rock back and forth. It's a trick dad used. Things will settle out for you once you get established on the ranch. I have found that it's better to go plow during the big storms, and plow again after, than wait for the lump sum. I recognise that you're juggling and shuffling quite a few heaping plates in front of you at the moment. In time, once established on the ranch, the load will decrease dramatically. Don't give up.

Greetings brother, I was diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis back in 2007. I have had several times in the hospital bleeding out. The meds are expensive but they can keep you from having radical surgery someday. Back in January of 2014 I resigned as senior pastor of a local church here in mountains of Oregon because of health related issues. I like to work. I attack every job like a US marine. I think I have had 14 surgeries now. The doc said stuffing the pain from all the injuries and the stress of being a pastor were a bad combination. Unless I wanted to continue to have trips to the hospital bleeding out I would have to make some changes in my life. There is not much we can do to get rid of the pain but we can reduce the stress. Though I did resign being a full time senior pastor back in January of 2014 I have accepted a position as an associate pastor. I do not have the stress of dealing with the pain from the injuries and the senior position. That said I am keenly aware of the signs of the Ucerative Colitis raising it ugly head and am forced to do something I never would do before and that is admit I am not superman and let some things go for others to do. It is better to see some things not done than to do nothing while I am laid up. Finding this balance is one of the hardest lessons I have had to learn. I am faced with it today as I write this. I can always tell when I am doing to much when my body starts to break down. After all dear friend we are not in our twenties anymore. Asking for help has always been hard for me. I know this is just the ugly pride of the self life. I came to the place where I had to humble myself and ask for help. This in the end has turned out to be a real blessing for me, especially my family and many others. May the Lord Give you Grace and May He be your Peace as you find this balance in Jesus Name.

Thank you for your openness and vulnerability, which is a model for others. I echo Dr. Garrison’s recommendation for a second opinion. Your clearly not a complainer and feeling that your meds offer little relief is a sign that your treatment regimen is not working. While Idaho does not have a University Medical School, please consider University’s of Wyoming, Utah or Montana Medical Schools Department of Gastroenterology. The drive may sound a bit insurmountable; however, it’s your health and wellness on which your family depends. Cedar could pursue the appointment and the drive would be nothing more than what you’ve done in the past. Bless you and your family.

Like some of the other comments I have to agree that buy buying old, run down pieces of equipment your creating more headache for yourself and hindering your ability to finish the home. I suffer from this same mindset myself "Oh I can buy this for such a good price.. I cant pass it up" Only to spend countless hours working on yet another project. While it can be fun if you have some free time, it can also lead to many hours of useless stress when you have more pressing projects to finish. I know budgets are always limited so sometimes we have to get what we can afford, but there are times it might be worth waiting and buying something better. Remember your time and health are worth something. Keep up the great work

So sorry to hear about the UC. We know how hard it is to be bustin' your butt on the homestead while also dealing with health issues. God knows where we are all at and what's to be done and I see Him give extra Grace to get us through those times - I could tell you many stories. Seems the Lord takes care of you too, such in finding these deals, and protected your leg, giving you the drive, common sense and perserverance to get through all this - and so forth. And when you get down, ...please look up - He has your back. In those situations I'm often asking -- "what is it I/we are supposed to be learning from this? Is there something I am missing; Because I don't want to go down this road again, help me to learn it the first time, and give You all the glory." So rock on - standing on that Rock of Ages !!
