Well, I think that Marc was spot on again. When he said, "I'm so sorry, I just want out now," he definitely said it like a person who has thought about suicide for a long time now and has already come to terms with it, hence not as many tears as he said it, just a weariness.

Did any of you haters stop to think that having/dealing with a disability is Groundhog day every day for those of us who do deal with it? That you all are so frustrated with this story line, that it doesn't move on or change. So much so you just want out of the whole thing. I think they are setting up an underlying justification for what is ahead. It will be over in two months, I think you can probably handle that.

The writers of this show completely destroyed what could have been one of the greatest soap opera love stories of the age. They've turned this storyline into an emotional rollercoaster of sadness and angst that is sure to have a tragic and bitter end. I don't even know why I watch anymore.

i think the storyline is pretty realistic in a sense that it shows Jackson's depression as something cyclic, which is the case for most forms of depression. For Jackson, his cyclic pattern for depression will continue for as long as he can't cope with his immobility and general vulnerability that comes with such condition. Honestly, who can get used to and cope with being immobile for the rest of his/her life within the span of few months? If you guys want a realistic storyline, then this is it
@xxaleshaxx13 жыл бұрын
I am so tired of people complaining over the storyline, like your all obsessed with sex that you cant see the writers are trying to portray a story about someone whose paralysed and wants to end their life. Its based on a true story. Dramas do it all the time. Just because its a gay couple doesn't mean that they are immune from any drama happening to them.. jeez!

MY GOD! Mark Silcocks' chest at 2:37!!! hard to get serious about the story with Jackson being so damned hott in that chair...I feel wrong for wanting him to be shirtless all the time...his body is better than Danny's!!

the fact is there are some people that will fight for their life, no matter how debilitated it is, and some that simply want to give up. Those that fall to the latter (like Jackson) drive those of the former up the walls trying to convince them to live.

Emmerdale has gone to the dogs. I don't think the Aaron and Jackson relationship has progressed anywhere. It's time to kill of Jackson's character and let Aaron's role fade off into the distance. Danny Miller has talent, and I wish him well. As for Marc S, well I don't really care what he does hereafter.

Ok mates, I just red the article for Marc Silcock on Wikipedia, so it's a Bad news for the fans of Aarson, well according to him the character of Jackson will end on May of this year, and as we can see there is no improvement physically on Jacksons part and it turn out that it's getting more worst so on my conclusion though i don't want this to happen Jackson will die or he will let himself die and it's killing me... how come a better storyline come to an end... sadness

@estibin- even in the tone of their voice.... the actors do an amazing job in selling the storyline, and I think that's what's lacking here. I don't know if it's the stage direction, or the actors decision but imo, it sorta brings the storyline down. The only time I really believed in Aaron's love for Jackson was when he told him he loved him for the first time. I feel like we are TOLD that they love eachother more than shown. I keep watching because I love the acting but I wish there was more
@daiCKgohan13 жыл бұрын
@art03nw thats so right... its hard to wait for every episode and being drawned on the same situations, again and again... i just hope that they made Jackson a bit more lonely in a sense that he already decided to live and then this, it would have made a more dramatic scene with Aaron...
@yournewsecretcrush13 жыл бұрын
Intense. I have no clue what it would be like to be in Jackson's position. I did like how Aaron stood up to Jackson (not that what he's doing isn't understandable); it makes me glad to see him speaking up and sharing his thoughts. He's usually one to bottle them in. I'm sure it's painful for them all to hear Jackson speak like he is. Uh! Sometimes I wish this was a crappy American soap ... moving on. Oh ... and PS ... I like Aaron's scruffy beard!

WANTING OUT IS NEVER THE SOLUTION....
@toni021713 жыл бұрын
my view from the last scene when Jackson told to Hazel that he wanted "out" is that he wanted to die, so there are two things 1 is the writer decided not to continue the Jackson character and 2 they wanted more drama between the two character... and I rather choose the second one, they are the only reason why I watch Emmerdale not because I'm gay it is because they have the most realistic act and most beautiful storyline in Emmerdale...

@art03nw You make it sound like being young and celibate is a bad thing, or nonexistent. So what if it's the 21st century? Believe it or not, sex is not that important to everyone. Aaron had a choice between love and sex after Jackson's train chrash...he chose love. What I find unbelieveable is that in the 21st century, people in general are still closed-minded and still rely on social ideology to dictate what's normal and what's not. It's pretty sad.

@estibin --- but see, you barely get moments when you recognize the love in this storyline, it has it's moment not denying that but the bad outweigs the good. When I compare it to the other gay storylines I watch: Deniz & Roman, Lucas & Edwin, Ste & Brendan, Christian & Olli(sometimes), and Luke and Noah(rewatching them) you always feel the love and they don't have to be kissing in every scene either, you just feel the love between the characters: a simple touch(cont in other post)

Well with Marc leaving, I'm curious as to what they're gonna do with Aaron once this storyline runs its course. I can't see the writers introducing another love interest and I wouldn't be surprised if they revert the character back to being the village thug. Or just push him into the background of other character storylines until Danny eventually leaves.

I was rewatching some old episodes, and it a shame that the writers chose to take this road. Remember when Noah magically got his sight back on ATWT. @estibin Romeo & Juliet this ain't. We don't really see the supposed love between Aaron & Jackson nearly enough. If I didn't regularly watch this show I would have never known that A&J are supposedly together. Apart from stellar acting from Marc Silcock and Danny Miller, this storyline has few redeeming factors, if any at all.
@jarabaa13 жыл бұрын
@patroclus33 Exactly. For goodness sake - SIR Ian McKellen, SIR Anthony Sher, SIR Derek Jacobi, etc etc. So many of our greatest actors are gay men. They've spent their lives, for God's sake, playing heterosexual men. No one would dream of asking whether any of these actors had "difficulties" kissing a woman. The very idea is ludicrous. Yet every actor who plays a gay man (e.g. Danny and Marc) is, as you say, endlessly quizzed as to how he stomached touching his lips to those of another man.

@art03nw They have wasted Danny's acting abilty with this story line -it is boring and IMO there is no chemestry between these 2. There is more with Adam. I agree make him bisexual and lets get it on with some real acting and drama chemestry. They are just killing Jackson off but it is killing us as well. Writers get with it and make something we want to see - these actors are up to the challenge.
